The natural way that its grown to a mirror image of itself on both sides is pretty amazing. Instead of being the same on both sides it clearly has a weighted difference. The wood in the massive root system, the dirt, leaves, and dead grass. The mountains give a wonderful landmark for you to try and estimate the distance but unless you had prior knowledge from where it was taken it would be difficult to tell exactly how far about you are.
