Who am I? I am African. Being an African means I have a lot to be thankful for. My ancestors came from West Africa and were the first slaves in the Caribbean. Their sacrifices are the reason I am here today and that is what helped mold me into who I am today. Also, this is the reason I look the way I do and I am proud of it. For example, when slaves were being sold they were referred to in derogatory terms and this helped give me my thick skin.

Who am I? I am a female. Being a female means I look different not only from other males but other females as well. My body shape and size makes me different. It has developed over time and thank to the development I became open to sports like Swimming. For example, I got taller, gained weight and got stronger. This helped give me the advantage I needed to excel at swimming.

Who am I? I am Trinidadian. Being from Trinidad and Tobago means I am part of a culture that is full of unity and love. This makes me different from persons in other geographic locations because my culture, the way I speak, dress, climate conditions I experience and country history is not the same. For example, there are only 2 seasons I have to prepare for; dry and wet. Where as other countries experience winter, autumn, fall and spring.

Who am I? I am a Permell. Being a Permell makes me different from others because my family members are the same as theirs. With relatives that I have the same last name as, we would have different values or traditions that I have adopted from the family I grew up with. For example, I eat lunch with my family every Sunday, whereas other families may eat together everyday or not at all.
