Students need an opportunity to talk about themselves and share information about themselves that they otherwise would not share. It would also help talkative students get their words out before time to focus on instruction.

  • I believe this is the most important because it makes the classroom a more welcoming environment. It provides an opportunity to make the classroom a "family"!
