Homelessness can be caused by a lack of paying jobs. Some jobs in the United States don't pay enough causing people not to have enough money for daily needs. For example, food prices and household essentials can be costly. If jobs don't pay enough, people won't have enough money to buy their needs, eventually causing them to not live comfortably. Housing is another essential that is rising. Global house markets have been climbing, according to the International Monetary Fund. Income growth, however, has not. When jobs don't pay enough, and there is no income growth, it is tough for people to become house owners. So, this causes people to live in their cars or on the streets.

It consisted of a sandwich, a bag a chips, a piece of chocolate and a water bottle. We made 49 of these pouches and we distributed them. The way you see poverty on tv isn't the same as how you see it in real life. Seeing it right Infront of your eyes in person is a whole different experience. Being able to help out and seeing peoples mood change by one simple pouch is heart warming and sentimental. Feeding South Florida is the most efficient food bank feeding all of south Florida. Here we were asked to volunteer for positions at the place. Their were many different positions to choose from and they all corresponded with each other, one led to another. We choose runners. In this position when someone is finished sorting their box of food they call a runner to take the box to a conveyor belt. It was all a system, it was very organized. We weren't allowed to take pictures or videos so we took as many as we could. This experience was amazing, everyone was nice and had a goal, ending hunger. A lot of people showed  up to volunteer that day about 80 people came to help out and the environment was super positive. The woman was suffering, and she had blisters on her feet, and she wasn't able to walk. Rather than helping her, the man does what's easy. He pretends not to hear the pleas made by the women. Later on, he whistles and crosses the streets to avoid her. If you have humanity in your heart, you may start crying after watching the video of this song about poverty.

Dubbed as the “hidden homeless”, these women don’t fit the stereotypical homeless. They’re educated, sophisticated and at some point had even enjoyed affluence. One was a successful singer, another was a painter who once lived in Malibu with her servants, another was a law student. They’re the sort of people you’d never expect to become homeless and yet they have. Their stories are a stark reminder that most of us are just one divorce or one wrong choice away from homelessness.

But despite its black and white aesthetics, it presents a picture of hope. It does not paint poverty in a bleak way as we’ve come to expect in most documentaries. Rather, it shows us that these people are very much just like us. Their days are focused on earning a living, taking care of family, and socializing. It’s just that they do it literally under the city’s towering skyrise buildings. They have no electricity or even running water. But their ingenuity and optimism that helped them survive in such conditions can also serve as an inspiration for all of us.
