         <title>Realism:</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>. Realism does not equate too realistic. For example while realism is usually not sad, it can present things in overwhelmingly optimistic lights.&nbsp;<br><br>. Realist fiction has a focus on the rise of capitalism. This is partially because as it is an unmarked style it is generally accepting of the status quo.<br><br>. Realism gained popularity for its distinct unmarkedness. This being in position to markedness which is when a form stands out as unusual.<br><br>. In the lecture Freud was mentioned in reference to the realism style being distinctly unmarked. As Freud alluded to in 'The Uncanny' things that seem enchanted creep us out because we have painfully taught ourselves to expect disenchantment.<br><br>. Realism style is the foundation for many non-realist genres.</div>]]></description>
