         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hitler split this troops into two forces and sent one half to take over Stalingrad. They used and air boom strike to take down the city and then marched into battle. In September, both militaries were suffering of starvation and because of the cold conditions. Both troops were told not to fall back but Germany surrendered first. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>much land as possible. They especially needed Stalingrad to have an advantage because it gave them easy access to attack Russia. Towards the end Germany began to become weak and the battle of Stalingrad was the first major turning point for the allied powers. Hitler was humiliated by their loss in Stalingrad and received distrust from his generals. Instead of being humiliated along side him Stalin gained confidence in his military with a westward drive, remaining largely offensive throughout the rest of the war.</div>]]></description>

The Germans had rifles, machine guns, and tanks. However, the battle came down to hand to hand combat in individual street battles.</div>]]></description>
