         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Missouri Compromise was a plan that was proposed by Henry Clay, an American politician from Kentucky. The plan was that Missouri was going to be a slave state while Maine was going to be a free state. This will even out the power between the slave states and the free states. The compromise was sign in 1820 by President James Monroe.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Slavery</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Slavery was a common problem, starting back in 1619. Slavery started expanding from there on.<br>Slaves were not treated as humans; they were whipped and starve. Not only that, but they were separated from their family. Most of them never saw each other again. The slaves' living condition was harsh. They all had to work all day in the fields, which was very humid since most slave owners reside in the south.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

It was between the Northern and Southern and was very violent. There was a lot of gore, hence the name Bleeding Kansas.</div>]]></description>

It all started when the Confederate decided to bomb a sea fort near Charleston, North Carolina. They bombed the fort down in only a few hours. The Union surrendered this war, leaving the Confederate as the victor of this battle.</div>]]></description>

This caused a lot of people to lose their homes and jobs.<br>On April 9, 1865, after Grant has captured Richmond, Lee could not escape and had to surrender.</div>]]></description>
