An observation I made about my neighborhood is that there are many trees, leaves and flowers.The interesting thing about my neighborhood is that it has a rooftop garden and a carpark garden.Some of the social issues are that people litter from their houses to level one and Slightly narrow corridors.I wasn’t aware there was a garden at level 2 carpark as I do not go there.The road side is noisy because there are development of MRT and also new housing estate. It is a place where new condos meet old Hdb's. An observation I made about my neighbour hood is that there is a colossal amount of greenery. Everywhere i look there are flowers, trees and leaves everywhere. I think the most interesting thing about my neighbourhood is that there are many different animals and people, all of different race or colours. Next to the condo is the old Hdb estate where many elderly gather downstairs together and talk about their lives for the whole day. One social issue that I have noticed is the fact that most nights when i am preparing to sleep i can hear children screaming or yelling loudly downstairs, making it difficult to sleep. I have also discovered a new area where many old people gather and play chess. Once, i approached them to ask whether i could play a match of chess and as expected, i was utterly defeated, that was when i found out that they have been playing chess for 20 years. The thing I found disturbing was that many of the elderly people smoke cigarettes despite their old age and declining health. I find this disturbing as they do not have much time left and smoking just decreases the time they have left. It is filled with countless of HDBs and greenery around it. There is a mosque nearby where Muslims can pray, and a few hawker centres where people can dine and eat at. Every morning, there are many uncles smoking and talking about stories and experiences of theirs with each other and I often overhear them talk about it. There is even a convenience store beside the hawker center that sells many of our daily essential needs and food, for example, instant noodles, fresh vegetables stored in freezers to keep them fresh and pens. I have also found quite a number of animals, for example, bugs, pigeons and snails, etc. Below my HDB, there is a court that was created there to allow children to play around the area. Often around the evening to night, many children and youths come down to the court to play after dinner. I always hear the children's laughter and screams of joy around the nighttime. Every Tuesday, there are taekwondo lessons held in the court. I have noticed that my neighbourhood uses a colour theme which consists of grey, green, blue and beige. For example, the flooring of the park consists of 3 different textures and colours. There is concrete, grass and wood in the colours of grey, green and beige respectively. On the rooftop of a carpark, the scenery is filled with colours, shapes and lines. The clouds in the sky give a pretty white and blue shade, the bushes are green in colour, and the buildings and floorings are mostly grey or beige too. The pathway of the garden has many different types of lines and shapes. Some are straight, some are curvy. I find the rooftop garden on the car park very interesting as it is also following the colour scheme of the buildings around it. One of the social issues that has been going around my neighbourhood is that pet owners are being inconsiderate, and allowing their pets to urinate in sheltered walkways and even on the floors of the children's playground. As a result, the floors are stained with urine and pungent smells are produced. One story that I uncovered when I was taking pictures in the neighbourhood park was that there was an old lady who is in her late seventies that goes around the neighbourhood and sells flowers to earn a living. She is not a resident of SkyPeak, but she still comes here daily. So far, the neighbourhood has been peaceful and nothing disturbing has happened. I heard that the coffee shop near my building sells delicious egg tarts. Some observations I have made about my neighbourhood is that there is a lot of greenery around, and that the HDBs are taller than most HDBs in Singapore. An interesting thing that I found out about my neighbourhood is that many of the HDBs  are connected by rooftop gardens. However, some social issues I realised about it is that a large population of elderly live by themselves, and I feel that this is a social issue as they may develop the feeling of being lonely. Something disturbing I found about my neighbourhood is that once, a news article stated that lightning struck the road near the HDBs. Under the HDB i live in there is a basketball court which i always hang out with my close friends there i am very lucky they rebuild that basketball court as they made it into a play ground 7 years ago and decided to rebuild it during the covid period. I have observed that majority of my neighbours are elderlies as my neighbourhood is old. So whenever I'm about to walk to the nearby bus stop, i will see a group of aunties exercising either under the block or on the concrete field with music playing. I also observed that my neighbours will leave their litter at a corner with tables and seats called 'Cozy Corner'. An interesting thing about my neighbourhood is that there is an office in the void decks and beside it is a vending machine. The social issue my neighbourhood has is that if someone litters and there is someone else witnessing, nothing will be done. No one will tell the person who littered to pick up and dispose. I have not uncover any stories about my neighbourhood but I'm looking forward to. There isn't really anything disturbing about my neighbourhood but there are alot of tall, thick trees and bushes. Some observations i've made is that my neighbour are moving out and there has been lots of wedding happening in my area . The grass here are very green and it seems to be healthy. There is also lots of cats and they usually come to me . The cats here are super cute and my neighbours are kind . During festivals such as Chinese New Year , Hari Raya and Deepavali , my neighbour would exchange gifts to one another . And also , if their family member are having a  birthday party , they would invite us . And that is very kind of them. Some things that are interesting is that my area here has 2 preschool. The students would always play at the playground. I find that interesting because i have not seen that much preschool in any house estate. I don't see the students that much as there has been a renovation. Some social issues i've seen is that not many people throw their trash in the dustbin. Its very inconsiderate because it's also their part to keep their area in bukit batok clean. We can also help the cleaners by throwing our trash into the bins to make their job easier. A news that i just know is that there will be another playground . And in 2024 , the new playground will be in my neighbourhood already. My grandma house which I lived in before I was 5 year's old is here, my primary school is here and most importantly my secondary school is here. I first found a white cat with brown spots at the playground and realised that it had a leash so it probably just got lost from the owner. It was staring at me so I just decided to take a photo of it. After that I found another cat chilling at a bench n it looked lonely so I sat there with it for a while, took a picture and moved on to a playground nearby. I was hoping to see kids playing there n ask whether I could take pictures of them. Turns out, my friend was there playing football with his friends so I took a photo of him playing. I also spotted his brother there so I requested to take a picture of them together. They were kinda unwilling at first but things worked out. Lastly, I went back home an looked out of the window and thought that the view was nice so I took a picture of a not so busy road and the sky as it was beautiful as well. I spent over 10 years in this neighbourhood so I know every nook and corner of my neighbourhood. I have made many observations when taking images of my neighbourhood, such as the community cats, the litter and even things in the making. I was amazed by the amount of plants Choa Chu Kang has! I tried my best to take pictures of void decks, animals, plants, schools and even the sky! What's so interesting about it is the community cats, there are many posters and drawings about why we should take care of the community cats and many cats here. I was suprised on the amount of community cats there are in my neighbourhood. A social issue i found out is litter, there is a lot of litter near the mailboxes and even in the lifts! It bothers me as I have a pet dog and since she is still a puppy, she  intends to chew on the litter on the floor which makes me worried as she may swallow it and get sick. Thus, I have to pull my dog away from litter. I hope people can stop littering and makes our environment a cleaner place! I didn't really uncover new stories as I have been living here for more than 6 months and knew a lot about this neighbourhood a short while ago. Litter is also the disturbing part, many complaints have been lodged by residents about the litter but people still aren't doing the right thing despite being aware of it. Some observations about my neighbourhood is there is a new hawker centre behind the carpark. There is also a barber shop and a Fairprice shop nearby and I can get anything easily from there. I would always hear the sound of badminton racket hitting the shuttlecock from the badminton court. Something interesting about my neighbourhood is the new hawker centre because now we can go buy breakfast nearby and do not need to go far to buy food. Some social issues about my neighbourhood is try at people would litter from their window and it will got to level one. Sometimes they would also pour water and it will hit people. Something disturbing about my neighbourhood is that two people committed suicidal from my block and my sister was there both times and heard the spund of the body hitting the floor. I have been here my whole life, since I was born. There was one time I asked my mother why we are staying here, she said that we only moved here because my father was working near here at that time. The mega playground is the best part of the neighbourhood, many secondary and primary students will go here to play and almost every Sunday, there will be some event going on over there. The students love the playground, and they bond with each other over there. Sometimes, when i go to the playground, i would see my old classmates over there and we will have a chat with each other. I have noticed that all the blocks in Skypeak are painted with colours similar to coffee, for example the tone of the colours are like lightest to the darkest brown. Not only that, the places around Skypeak are also very interesting, such as the flooring of the small park. It has different types of textures, hard, soft as well as various colours including bright and dark. The design of the car park is eye-catching, the way some of the lines are designed as thick and some are designed as thin. Although the car park is big,almost everyday, it will always be full of cars, especially during the weekends. Some came to visit their parents and spend more time with them since they are working during the weekdays, some came to eat at the coffee shop or even shop at the Sheng Siong in my neighbourhood. There's a rooftop garden at the top of the car park, it has beautiful scenery, it allows me to relax, and it has different types of plants at the garden e.g the shapes, the colours. According to my dad, Skypeak is one of the tallest buildings around the neighbourhood as some of the blocks has up to 40 storeys while some has up to 35 storeys. Living at the 40th storey is more than amazing, you are able to see the beautiful scenery as well as the pretty white blue clouds. Besides that, what I'm appreciative about is the badminton court built at the small park as well as the amount of space allowing people to gather and bond with each other. One of the social issues that has been going around my neighbourhood is especially some youths or children taking up the whole badminton court and not allowing others to share with them, I think this is an inconsiderate act and should be taken seriously. Resulting in some youths and children not being able to play badminton. Recently, there have been some renovations going on around my neighbourhood and sometimes it disturbs my family and I. However, we understand that the co-worker and government are working very hard to make sure residents live in a peaceful and safe environment. I would like to try more of the dishes at the western food store selling at the coffee shop as my family and I only tried the cheese fried fries.

I have been living in this district for almost 7 years. An observation I've made about my neighbourhood is that there are many areas that allows the residence to bond and connect with each other A few examples are the badminton court located opposite my primary school. There are also several RC zones and senior citizens' corner around the neighbourhood too. One thing that I find it interesting about my neighbourhood is that several RCs and senior citizens' corner has an area where they harvest fruits and vegetables along with beautiful flowers and I find it impressive as I have not discovered about that before. Some of the new stories I have uncover is that the elderlies are share the vegetables they've planted among there friends generously. Something disturbing about my neighbourhood is the noise created after school by children who are playing at the open area downstairs my estate and I feel that they should lower their volume. I would love to investigate about a reading corner that was recently designed under an estate. There are three playgrounds in total one including swings which are pretty rare now. The are also multiple exercising areas for people to use whenever they're free, but those are pretty empty too. One thing that's really interesting is the small stadium at the basketball court, also a mini stage. Because the neighbourhood is pretty quiet, there really is no social issues or news regarding it. One disturbing factor is probably the pest that loiter around the area. Some observations I have found is that there are many people playing different varieties of sports, some were playing soccer, badminton, cycling and basketball. There were many very interesting patterns buildings too. My neighbourhood's design is actually a diamond shape consisting of 5 blocks forming it together. My neighbourhood also has a carpark that has a rooftop garden has a big rooster and its family, plants, fruits, vegetables and own grown vegetables by our neighbour.
