Arrival to Iceland

Teachers and students arrive to BSÍ where their host families meet them and together they go home.

Science museum and swimming pool

Students meet at school and then go to Science museum at the University of Iceland. Then they go back to school where they introduce projects about their countries and watch others do so. After the presentation students go swimming in the outdoor swimming pool near the school.

Team Project

Students go to school with their host friends where they are separated into groups to work on a team project.
After lunch students and teachers take a walk around Elliðarárdalur (alley). Then everybody has the rest of the afternoon and evening free.

The Golden

We took bus to Þingvellir national park and there we had a guide that showed us the park and its nature. We also went to Gullfoss waterfall were we ate lunch and played some games. After Gullfoss we went to Geysir, there we walked around and took many pictures. We also went to Ljósafoss Power Station and there we saw how the poer station provides us with power.

International project

We started by finishing the international project so we could present it to students and teachers. Then Icelandic students presented the Biophilia music maker made by famous song writer and singer Björk and showed the other students how to use it.

Trip around south peninsula

We went on a trip around the south peninsula Reykjanes and saw the geothermal reservoir and after that we went to Kleifarvatn (Kleifarvatn is a lake on Reykjanes peninsula. The water is about 8km and 97 meters deep therefore the seventh deepest lake in Iceland) we also went to Krýsuvík (Krýsuvík is Iceland´s most natural and beautiful place) and Reykjanestá (Reykjanestá is located in the southern region of the southwestern part of the country) In the evening was held a goodbye party at school were students could enjoy their last evening in Iceland.
