The Harappan Civilization in Ancient India was made along a river valley. In modern times, it is located in India and pakistan. The river provided fertile soil for growing crops of rice, wheat, various fruits and vegetables, and cotton. The river also had lots of natural resources for building, and it had lots of gold and rare stones.

Farming

The primary stuff they grew was Barley and wheat, supplemented by dates, sesame (Sesamum indicum), field peas, and lentils. Barley was the most used crop and was apparently supplemented with some wheat. Ancient Indian farmers used organic and sustainable farming practices to maintain the soil’s long-term fertility and the health of their crops. They dug wells and canals to get extra water to produce extra crops, The Indian economy was greatly impacted by the excess production.

Between 1221 and 1327 was when mongol was attacked by the Delhi Sultanate. The Delhi Sultanate was able to take over the Indian hinterland. The surprise attack was a success for the Delhi Sultanate. It wasn't good for the mongol's army. Delhi officials said that is was revenge.

Timber was also a bigger used building material because it was used to help them make sure the brick was placed in a sturdy position.
