<title>Entrepreneurial Dare is an attitude that educators must also have. If we tell students failures are part and parcel of the process of succeeding and yet our own actions suggest we do not tolerate failures nor want to take calculated risks, then they will see the hypocrisy of our attempts to teach them entrepreneurial dare.</title>

<title>We need to train ours students to be resilient and take failure positively. Having an environment that encourages this is important. How we approach assessment is one important area. We could allow students the time to learn and assess them more formatively reflecting their level of mastery rather than a one off summative assessment.</title>

<title>On &#39;Joy of Learning&#39; - Agree with Mrs Lim that before we can instil &#39;Joy of Learning&#39; in students, teachers have to have the joy of teaching. It is also important for teachers to continue to learn new things&amp;nbsp;to experience the whole experience of learning - the&amp;nbsp;joy, the struggles, etc, so that they can understand the difficulties the students go through and then share with them how they can overcome their difficulties.</title>

What many Marks have we teachers &quot;discouraged&quot; in our career? 3. Highlight or share these success stories and the values demonstrated in people like Mark e.g. entrepreneurial dare, resilience.  </title>

Singapore
spirit - In 2010 National Day rally speech, Prime Minister Lee said: &quot; The
Singapore spirit is not based on a common race, language or religion. It is
based on deeper things that we share: Shared values like multiracialism,
meritocracy, or respect for every talent; shared loyalty and commitment to
Singapore; shared responsibility for each other and pride in what we have done
together; shared memories as well as dreams and aspirations...

&quot; It is the spirit in each
of us which makes Singapore work the way it does and which makes Singaporeans
special.&quot;</title>
