I see how mrs ammons thinks that the homeland security policy is racially profiling because of the MS-13 gang members, but I still put it as the best policy. I think the overall idea of the policy would be most beneficial for the US by getting the critical information from the countries before letting people enter the country and bettering the security will increase safety a ton. All that would need to be worked on is the racial profiling aspect of it.

Racial profiling is absolutley wrong and the way that we aren’t handling it as a nation is sloppy. I like Aaron’s idea where we do Moreno background checks and more research in general.

I agreed with Melanie that most of combatting terrorism was good, but I think that suspending aid to Pakistan is a step in the wrong direction. Pakistan may have a large number of terrorists, but the government doesnt support them. Even the US has many terrorists that we obviously dont support. I also agreed that securing the homeland was the worst, even if it may not be, it appears islamophobic, and innocent citizens from these countries are forced out because of a dangerous minority. I agree with Emily. Threatening innocent countries, even for something as trivial as sharing criminal backgrounds, is only going to hurt relations with these countries.

This sheds light on the effectiveness of foreign policy before Trump's changes, and Trump's continued fight against ISIS shows the changes he has made to be positive. I agree with Rachel when she said the current administration should be acknowledging the success and effectiveness of previous administrations.

I agree with Davin's confusion over Trump's decision to reduce the size of national monuments and protected land. I do not see a positive environmental impact because of this cut. In the article Trump said he made the decision to return the rights of the land to us, the citizens but in the following paragraphs and all over the news are reports of citizens who oppose the cut and wish the land were still protected.

Amber made a really good point about the pipeline's threat to the aquifer. I too, if I were president, would not agree to build the pipeline. Or if it were necessary I would build the line around the aquifer as Natalie suggested.

Climate change essentially affects all environmental aspects.

Rachel makes a good point that there was no reason to leave and yet he still left the Paris Climate Agreement, making the US have this image of carelessness.

Chase makes a good point about thinking about the future in terms of innovation and advancement of renewable energy, rather than just harvesting more and more fossil fuels

Chase also made a really good analogy about oil and how it's like a medication commercial, and how the oil extraction can essentially have major "side effects" to our environment, like affecting clean water and air and encroachment on sacred lands.

I also understand why Grayson thinks we should pull out and make our own climate deals that our better suited for our needs or come back when a better deal is negotiated.

I like Kenzies point, about how Trump isn't looking to the future, only the present.

I loved Chases analogy and how it sounds like a medication ad.
