Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is the album that changed what music meant to me. Before, music was just something I'd occasionally listen to, which wasn't very often. The first time I listened through the whole album, music quickly became something I couldn't live without. Music became an escape, a place to go when I was scared, tired, sad, happy, any emotion, music was there to help me get through and process my own thoughts.

On a specific Christmas Day a few years ago, the day had been going normally, but about halfway through the day, my family had all just been casually chatting, before the conversation had shifted into something much more emotional and deep, resulting from my brother moving out semi-recently, and him talking about reasons he felt like he had to. After what felt like all of us crying for a long time, I went with my siblings to my brother's apartment, showing us some stuff that should have completely changed my perspective of him, but I would quickly accept, and from then on would greatly deepen the bond I had with my siblings, in every way.

I went on a trip to New York with my siblings during Spring Break. It was the first trip that just the three of us had taken together, and it ended up being extremely enjoyable.

Before Prom, parties had always made me anxious, a bit sick, and generally uncomfortable. But this time, I found myself having a really good time, because by this point, I had found people I had fun hanging around with, and Prom ended being really fun.

During XC practice, I was trying to run 3 miles without stopping for the first time, and about halfway through I felt genuinely happy. Ever since I was little I had hated running more than anything, but during that run, I actually started loving the run.

Doing karaoke with a friend was the first time I had done something embarrassing in front of that many people. While it was still extremely embarassing, it still ended up being a lot of fun, and an important memory for me.

I had been having a particularly rough day, so I wanted to make some origami to help destress. I found this design and got to folding, and for some reason the final result really clicked with me. Ever since then, I make this turtle whenever I'm having a rough time, or even if I'm just bored.
