His mom works long ours as a home health care aid. She has high expectations for him but not the bandwidth to support him fully. When it's time to read in class, he usually has a bit left to read when the teacher's ready to review. The pace of the class moves through topics fast enough to meet the goal by the end of the year, but too fast for G to make sense of the information. He scores well, despite not really understanding what things mean or how they connect to something bigger. He is a bright boy but has severe ADHD. He can not stay on task unless someone sits with him one on one which is really impossible most of the time. He gets in a lot of trouble outside of the classroom.
