"We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aids, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn, which does not forsake us in our soundest sleep."

This quote connects to Transcendentalism because of it's mention to "learn to reawaken" and it's mention of nature "expectation of dawn" which shows that humans are too focused on "mechanical aids" rather than nature because of how society is set. Transcendentalism focuses on what humans are always stuck on and should be focused on instead which is well shown in this quote.

"It comes only by the grace of God. It requires a direct dispensation from Heaven to become a walker."

This quote connects to Transcendentalism because of the connection the author makes, which are references to God and how he is apart of making us true walkers through his amazing Grace. Transcendentalism is a belief between a relationship through nature, God, and human.

"The stars awaken a certain reverence, because though always present, they are inaccessible; but all natural objects make a kindred impression, when the mind is open to their influence."

The following quote is a perfect example of Transcendentalism because it exemplifies the meaning of humans connecting with nature and becoming one with nature. The author is saying that when humans recognize nature, nature then becomes a human's influence and begins to show nature's true beauty.

A work of art is an abstract or epitome of this world."

This quote expresses transcendentalism because it identifies the meaning of beauty and when it's seen "an abstract" a person would highly agree that nature is the meaning of beauty because of it's abstract mysteries it places on this world. Nature comes in many shapes and forms which is a perfect example of beauty and brings in transcendentalism.

My own verse, would be to never stop living in the moment, when you discover the creation that makes you happy, watch it, read it, smell it, until you lose it again so that one day, you'll remember that moment and appreciate it even more than you did the first time. I will contribute to this world by continually writing, I will describe the wonders of happiness, what it feels like, how it makes your mind forget every little worry and once again feel like you made it, you made your life, you made your success. Writing every little detail in my life will carry various emotions but even through the negative emotions, sadness, anxiety, stress, all of it plays a role in making me who I am today, it makes me wonder even more about what I could discover. These new discovers I face will help me uncover the hidden creations we've all wanted to face one day. And someday, when it happens, I will feel the emotion of happiness just as I did through past discoveries and I will watch it until it fades and disappears into thin air. And someday, when it returns to me, I will feel that echo I once did when I found the one creation, that made me once happy.

This poem makes me feel hesitant yet accepting. This is because I myself would do something to not remain "foolish" like all of society but life itself keeps us busy with what we've been told to do which is why I'm hesitant. I am accepting of this poem because I 100% agree that this world is often focused more upon figuring their life out and determined to use the path given for them instead of creating one for themselves. My reaction of the movie had me filled with so many emotions, the same poems the characters read that we did made them become risk-takers. The characters began viewing the world through different stand points and it made me think of ways that I could also use these poems to look at the world through different point of views.

In the movie Soul, Joe Gardner is able to understand why he's living which leads him to change his perspective on life and that it's not just about working, but deciding your own fate because it's your decisions that impact you the most.

In states such as New York City, their is a lack of Transcendentalism that can be placed in this society. I find that because of the lack of Nature tenet, individuals cannot fully be one with themselves and nature which is just one of the society's that actually's challenged in living in Transcendentalism.

Nature is a peaceful creation, nature is a being that is unlike humans, nature is like a teacher teaching humans to be peaceful and non judgemental just as she is. Spending days with nature will teach you to contribute fully and positively to society by the way it sways in peace, how it stays silent when your screaming, or angry, or crying. Nature calls humans to think of it's beauty, it's perfection, it's harmless nature. Unlike nature, humans are much more focused on becoming better yet nature itself is pleased with what it has become, it starts as a seedling but sooner will grow and produce fruit. Our job as humans should be like nature, we should be patient and grow through life not force ourselves to grow into something we aren't able to produce.
