What worked:
Competency goal: Sharing a story
Able to complete the technical task, communicate with a purpose, presenting info for research
What has not worked, yet:
Digital Citizenship - inappropriate language based on "what they saw/know from social media"
Pre-teaching Digital Citizenship first
Small Group teaching, modeling, students explore tools and began to teaching and mentor other peers!
Taking photos of novelty materials - leaves, parts of a tree that connect to our inquiry projects
Structuring slides 1, 2, 3 in Keynote
How to source info
Collaborate with Chris - to teach tech features in isolation eg) how to save

Incorporate digital literacies in small group (literacy/numeracy centres), exploration centre time, outdoors with buddies for mentorship/leadership

Competencies routines:
Go over core competencies when go overing the shape of the day - making it very explicit "I CAN statement"
Goal setting for the day - make statement clear to start and end/reflect on the day
Core Competencies (weekly) Journal - focus on one specific competencies eg) communication
Week in Review - Communication Tool

Next Steps:

Change the STRIPES language
Connect with buddy class (with support)
Continue to use Photo Mark Up feature for teaching Communication and Thinking Competencies

Assessment:
ADST  - were they able to include the communication criteria to create a story 
Used a digital citizenship as a rubric - were my students able to use the Photo Mark up App socially responsibly and purposefully (technical - could they MARK UP their photo?)
