On the other hand, when comparing men and women from a scale of 1-10, unhappy to happy respectively, men and women were equally happy while men focused on happiness outside of home and women focused on happiness inside the house.

Does Money Buy Happiness? (Instagram Poll)

Majority of the the votes on my Instagram story said that money does NOT buy happiness. I was very surprised on how close the results were as a lot more people believed that money does buy happiness. I personally do not agree with the people who said "NO" because it does buy happiness but only for a limited time.

Happiness in Social Media

Contrary to what everyone believes in, I believe that social media actually makes people more depressed than happy. Based on my experience, when someone posts a photo on Instagram they aren't just sharing a photo for others to see but instead it ends up in a liking competition between their friends. In addition, more people on YouTube are internet "trolls" because they do not have to provide their real identity

Do rich people care about others happiness?

In this video, ASAP Science explains that rich people are more likely to be ignorant. One example they provide is how people are more likely to get cut off by a Mercedes (or other expensive car) than a low end car. But that doesn't mean they are worse people; many people have conducted experiments to show that there are no differences between high and low-mid income people in being more ignorant.

In addition to "Are rich people worse humans", I believe Gatsby is very similar as he drives a big yellow car at excessive speeds. In the video, they provided us with statistics that prove why you are more likely to be cut off by a person driving a high end car than a low-mid end one. In addition, while Daisy was driving the car, she hit Myrtle and didn't even stop to look back. This might have been because she was in the moment and shocked but normally people will turn around to check up on the body. Lastly, wealth has been proven in The Great Gatsby to be a factor that provides happiness because of the possibilities a wealthy person can ensue. On the other hand, money has also caused destruction in the book.

To relate to my "does money buy happiness", yes money does buy happiness but in the long run that excitement of having that money starts to fade away.
