Joseph Estrada (1998-2001) was only presedint for three years due to an arrest on accepting bribes but did not do a dramatic change to help the country.<br>3. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (2001-2004) Had success on her goal of gaining better political status of the county.<br>4. Benigno Simeon Aquinto III (2010-2016) Boosted economic status but unemployment was still high. <br>5.          <description><![CDATA[<div>-World's highest growth rate from 1985-1995 with the average almost 9% annually.<br>-Thailand Financial Crisis in 1997, this forced&nbsp; government to float Thai baht from 25 baht to dollar reached the lowest point of 56 baht to dollar.          <description><![CDATA[<div>-business and agricultural environments grew within the late 1990’s&nbsp; because there was an increase in returns to land <br>-Savings rate went from 2.1 percent in 1990 to 16.6 percent in 1994.<br>-From 1990 to 2005 poverty went from 50% to 29% of the population of Urban areas near Ho Chi Minh City. In rural areas, poverty went from 66% in 1993 to 36% in 2002.&nbsp; People have said it's due to the economic growth triggered by the Doi Moi reforms.
