I myself, was an english language learner. When I first started Kindergarten I was only fluent in Spanish. I was immediately placed in an ESL classroom where my teacher only spoke English. I remember being very confused in the beginning, as the school year went on I become fluent in English relatively fast with the help of my peers, and teachers. I believe ESL students learn best when being fully immersed in the language.

I was raised Catholic, where I would attend mass every Sunday with my family. This lasted up until I started middle school. My family stopped attending regularly. I went from praying every night to not praying at all. I was straying from my relationship with God big time. It wasn't until 2016 when I started working at a daycare called "A Childs Place" in blue bell where I met someone very important to me who would change the way I viewed religion all together. I am currently a practicing Christian. I enjoy attending mass, and worshiping God. This has become a very big part of who I am as a person. I believe there is a difference between religion and having a strong relationship with God. I understand not everyone feels or thinks this way, but this has become a huge part of my life. I continue to grow in my faith everyday and I am very excited to see what this beautiful world has to offer and what I can offer in return.

My family has many different traditions for example, all coming together for the holidays or even birthday parties. One tradition I look forward to every year is celebrating Christmas. My entire family comes together on Christmas eve. We rotate houses every year. We all come wearing pajamas and enjoy each others company all night where we eventually sleepover. In the morning we all wake up together and have a big family breakfast where we then open presents. We spend the whole day together enjoying everyones company. This by far is my favorite tradition, and one I plan on continuing throughout the rest of my life.

My main values in life consist of family. The most important thing in my life is my family. Without them I would not be the person I am today. Coming from a Hispanic background I was always taught to respect my elders as well as myself. I value the importance of my faith very strongly now that I am older. I value patience, being trustworthiness, and always being kind to everyone around me no matter what the circumstances are. I've always believed in you get what you give out.

Growing up my Mom and Dad were very big on respect. I knew from a very early age to always use my manners and respect my elders, even if I didn't always agree. The way I behave and present myself is very important to me. I am very big on being a kind individual. I believe a tender heart will always help and never ever hurt. The world needs more love and although I am one person I like to believe by loving people to the fullest I can impact at least one person in my life.

When I was younger I always enjoyed being in school. I loved knowing I had a schedule, and I always remember thinking how cool it would be to be a teacher. I always loved having a schedule. When I got older I started working at a daycare where I learned to love teaching, even if it was toddlers. When I first started out in daycare I was mainly a floater. This means I would be placed wherever a teacher needed me. I worked with infants, toddlers and so on. Immediately I enjoyed everything about my job. Once I entered my senior year in high school I was giving the opportunity to work with school aged children. This is when I realized I loved working with kids. Most importantly I enjoyed being able to connect with children. I found myself looking up different experiments to have them participate in and much more. I currently work at a daycare where I come up with lesson plans, newsletters etc. I enjoy coming into work everyday with new information to present to my students. As I continue my education, I learn more and more everyday how to be a better teacher. I plan on graduating with my bachelors in early education and becoming an Elementary school teacher. I know that a daycare worker and an elementary school teacher is similar but also very different. I am excited to be taking more serious and I am excited to help children succeed to the best of their ability.
