Load the sea image into Photoshop and apply a layer mask to the image. Using the gradient, apply a vertical gradient to the sea image (top down). After you have done this you need to make the image black and white. See the video for a visual example.

STEP 3 - BOAT IMAGE

Drag and drop the boat image into your design, you may need to resize it before committing to your selection. After you have done this, using the Background Eraser tool, slowly work around the edge of the boat remembering to keep the plus symbol in the eraser on the background you want to delete. you can resize the eraser tool just like you have done for the paint brush tools. when you have worked your way around the boat, you can just use the normal eraser to delete the rest of the image away from the boat. finally in this step you will need to adjust the image and add an adjustment layer to make the image black and white.

STEP 4 - SKY

Finally for this composite image you will need to add the sky image into your design. Drag and drop the sky image into your design and adjust if you need to. If your image is at the top of the layers then you will need to move it below the Sea image this way it will fall underneath your boat image and Sea image, it will also turn black and white. See the video guide for help!
