On Thursday 9th February we started the CLIL project in physics with Mrs. Pirini Casadei who is our teacher. She presented some experiments:
1- Plasticine in water
2- Syrings with air
3- Syringes with coloured water
4- Fish in the bottle
5- Bottle with two holes
6- Bottle with one hole
7- Syringe with 5 holes
She didn't explain us how the experiments work, she only said us to think about how they could work

In the fifth lessons we have studied the Pascal's law, or the principle of transmission of fluid-pressure. This principle says that if a pressure is applied anywhere in a fluid it causes a force, that is transmitted equally in all directions. According to this law if we have a pressure exerted on a fluid in a small clynder, usually by compressor, the force must be exerted over a much large distance. A small force exerted over a large distance is traded for a large force over a small distance. Thought the pressure is the same, it is exerted over a much large area, giving a multiplication of the force.
We also have studied the Stevin's law. The parameters of this principle are the atmospheric pressure (Patm), the density (d), and the high of the container. The formula is P= Patm + d × g × h (g is a constant). When h changes its value, change the numeric value of the pressure.
Here an example of communicanting vessels
https://youtu.be/oLt8N-FAlLs

Today we have checked all the answers and we have seen how these experiments are correlated to the studied laws.
For example we have seen how the principle of the pressure works in the first three experiments and how the force (F) and the area (A) changes with it.
We have also check the answers about Stevin's law and seen how the pressure increase with the changing of the hight (h).
