[Show Don't Tell]
1) Michael was terribly afraid of dark:
*As soon as Michael heard lights out, a chill ran down his spine. His eyes opened wide and he frantically gulped down saliva through his throat. He didn’t flinch for 5 minutes straight. It seemed like His shirt was glued to his body as someone poured water on him. After this, panting followed on. It was like he was drowning in his own sweat.

2)She was my best friend. I could tell her almost everything:
*The sun laughed at me as I sat lonely on the bench down the street. Warm air exited through my nose as I flashback hit me hard. The memories were as fresh as daisies. My senses could feel her existence. Everything we shared was coming back to me like an open book of my life divided into chapters. She was talking and giggling with utter silence and without presence. As if she was living in my head rent-free!

3)He's nervous about his job interview
*My world somewhat flipped as darkness poured before me! A chill ran down my sweaty body as my sight became clear as glass. Ticking of the clock fazed me as I impatiently waited. My blood ran cold as candidates went in for an interview. Overthinking overtook my head and coupled with sleepless nights, it was devastating. I was numb and started shivering with fear.

*Michael was terribly afraid of the dark*
His eyes popped out of fear as soon as the door behind him closed with a loud thud and soon the lights went out too. Anxiety took over him making him tremble. The room was dead silent and this was killing because this made him listen to every movement his heart made, sense every path his breaths were taking and feel each and every drop of sweat that was dripping down his body. These unusually intensified senses were not helping him at all instead, with every second that passed, they hit him with a realization that he was petrified of darkness

*She feels trapped in her hometown*
The air that went inside me with every breath that I inhaled, was strangling me. I could already feel my self suffocating. All those question about my past surrounded me like jail bars to my already unstable life. The place where I should be feeling the most unbounded, was now where I feel the most confined. The place where I should be having flashbacks of my cheerful moments, it was giving me flashbacks of memories that I want to kill and bury in my heart. I only wish that I died before coming to this horrendous place.

*He's nervous about his job interview*

He could feel sweat beadings breaking out on his forehead as he fidgeted with his fingers. His anxiety took over him making him shake his legs. His gaze was stuck on the wall clock making every second in that office, longer and harder for him to spent. He grabbed the glass of water on the side table and took big gulps of it, every gulp of that water made his heart pound more and more. Soon his name was called out which made him stand up. He felt his heart in his mouth as he took small steps towards the interviewer's room.
