What is AR ?

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive 3D experience that combines a view of the real world with computer-generated elements in real time.

How VR and AR improve the quality of education ?

AR is finding its way into curriculum to enhance traditional learning methods. For example, textbooks can be marked with codes that, when scanned by a smartphone, can display additional content or 3D visualizations.

Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds. By simulating as many senses as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world. The only limits to near-real VR experiences are the availability of content and cheap computing power.

What is Project Based Learning ?

Project Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which students learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects.

In Project Based Learning, teachers make learning come alive for students.

Students work on a project over an extended period of time – from a week up to a semester – that engages them in solving a real-world problem or answering a complex question. They demonstrate their knowledge and skills by creating a public product or presentation for a real audience.

As a result, students develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. Project Based Learning unleashes a contagious, creative energy among students and teachers.

How does PBL differ from “doing a project”?

PBL is becoming widely used in schools and other educational settings, with different varieties being practiced. However, there are key characteristics that differentiate "doing a project" from engaging in rigorous Project Based Learning.

We find it helpful to distinguish a "dessert project" - a short, intellectually-light project served up after the teacher covers the content of a unit in the usual way - from a "main course" project, in which the project is the unit. In Project Based Learning, the project is the vehicle for teaching the important knowledge and skills student need to learn. The project contains and frames curriculum and instruction.

In contrast to dessert projects, PBL requires critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and various forms of communication. To answer a driving question and create high-quality work, students need to do much more than remember information. They need to use higher-order thinking skills and learn to work as a team.

And today we will learn together about the advantages and disadvantages of ICT in education. So starting with the technology in our daily lives, it's seen everywhere from home to work, or while we shop and especially at school. It has improved our lives in many ways from the ability to communicate with anyone, at any time. So it's the key to helping teachers in their ability to find anything they need or just to know on the Internet.

Nowadays, technology is used a lot in the classroom, so how has it been used? By offering virtual lectures through software such as PowerPoint, students can see it everywhere.

Advantages

As for homework in online classes, games and videos are great, as students don't even know if they've actually learned a lot of knowledge when they're playing games or watching videos. If while doing homework, with confusing assignments, students can ask the teacher right during online lessons, which will help students better understand the content of the lesson. Therefore, the positive aspects of the use of technology in teaching help teachers be better prepared, receive more participation and cooperation of students, improve independent working skills as well as teamwork of students. Test scores and skills also get better.

So how does the use of technology work so well? That's because in lessons using fun technology, images, and videos modeled after animation, students are interested in participating in computer games, and keeping a positive attitude during their studies, which is also the best way to transmit knowledge to each student.

Or in Flipping Classroom classes, teachers will prepare virtual lectures and project them to the whole class, students will learn about the content of the lesson, participate in group discussions ....

Reliance on Technology – Studies show that: “People have more to remember these days, and they are relying on technology for their memory but the less you use of your memory, the poorer it becomes. . people don’t bother learning to spell because they use spell-checker, or need a calculator do perform minor addition or subtraction.

Reliability of Information – Anyone with access to a computer and an internet connection internet can start a blog or post something up on a website, so just because something’s on the web doesn't mean it’s reliable. A prime example of this is the open source encyclopedia, Wikipedia, although considered a good source of information it is not recognized by academic institutions as a trustworthy reference.

And other issues such as: Lack of experience of teachers, computer viruses, maintenance fee.
