We could even get a samba group or Taiko or african drumming as well. It all depends on the interest we have.  We should also do some large workshops where everyone can take part as well.  Get a few Pros in to run sessions or ensembles.  At the end of the conference we have a big concert to show everyone what we managed to put together.

We have alot of the big instruments here, so I'm happy to host, and if it could happen say August/september 2018 I think that could be a welcome kickstart to the year.

If you are new to the "area", some of us can give you more information about some of the Choral and Instrumental events that your students can participate in that give them the opportunities to perform, especially if you have smaller groups in your school (like I do).
Several of us participate in the ISCMS event (International Schools Choral Music Society) each year. It involves over 300 Choral & Instrumental students presenting a large scale Orchestral/Choral concert. This past years event was the 10th anniversary of ISCMS held in Beijing. It allows students to have the experience of performing major choral works with a live orchestra.
