The people affected by this case are shoppers and motorists. And then prices go up and quality goes down and it's kind of unethical. A company's social responsibility is very important.
But the merchant will only think in the merchant's direction. How to cut costs and make more money.
If it does, I don't quite understand why the CMA needs to stop it. Maybe it's because my country is different.
I think even if supermarket prices go up. That means the city is also on the rise. In China, the price is different in every region. The price in developed areas is very high, while the price in remote and underdeveloped areas is very low.
For example, an average employee in China could not afford a toilet in a residential building in Beijing all his life. And those who have a little money will choose to buy some residential buildings in other cities and then sell them after the price rises. Then choose to build villas in their hometown.
The point is that if prices go up in an area, wages go up. The price of insurance will also go up with the rise of prices. All expenses and incomes will rise together (depending on the individual's position).
