Prior to his major successes, Jeff decided to leave the Wall Street company he was working for, D.E Shaw which was an investment firm, and was named the youngest Vice President in 1990. Despite his career in finance, he decided to quit and go into the world of e-commerce in 1994. He had the determination and persistence to leave everything he knew about his previous career, start from scratch and create one of the biggest e-commerce platforms to ever exist.

Communication

It is mentioned that Jeff Bezos like to keep within the loop with his employees in terms of happiness and concerns. He enjoys communicating with the people that work with him, really focusing on the idea of being approachable for anyone if needed. He also likes to know how him and his company are perceived within all Amazon Press Releases. This can be seen as a very important skill to have and also joins up with a public speaking skill. This allows people to understand that he is more than happy to stay communicated with his employees and creates almost a level ground with them which can be seen as a very important positive.

Creativity

Similar to many other entrepreneurs, Jeff had to of created a vision or an end-goal that would of ideally be the ultimate end point of where he wanted to be with his new idea. Baring in mind, before Amazon e-commerce was still a growing concept he had to think creatively and greatly to get anywhere and achieve what he has achieved to this day.

Identifying New Trends

One of the biggest skills and main reasons to why Jeff Bezos decided to ditch his successful career at D.E Shaw, is because he managed to identify what the next biggest thing could possibly be. E-Commerse during the 90's was a new idea, a new place that not many people understood or even could fathom the future advanced uses for it. Jeff however managed to visualize and identify what this could potentially grow up to, and so he started Amazon up in his garage. However, The main important thing to this was identifying how useful and important this could be and identifying the trend within that.
