He sent us a link to join a video call where we all got set up for the quiz. Mr Reilly had put together 19 random questions for us to answer. We all got competitive when we were told the winner gets a €10 voucher online.

Unfortunately the quiz didn’t go too smooth because of bad wigs and we had to start all over again. This was bad for me because I was In the top 3 for the first quiz until it stopped working.

We got it up working again and got ready to start it over again. For the first 8 questions I was coming first then I dropped down to 3rd for a few questions and got one wrong and went all the way down to 11th place. This was very annoying because I thought I had a chance of winning. Within the next few question I got myself back up to 6th place behind Alicia by 11 points.

This quiz was good fun but unfortunately my bad WiFi made it hard at times to hear what people were saying and it kept freezing. He organised a “beat the intro” quiz and set up a google meet video call for us all to join if we wanted to take part.

A “beat the intro” quiz is when the quiz master plays a bit of a song and everyone has to guess what the song is before it is announced. Who ever says the right answer first gets a point. And at the end of the quiz the person with the most points wins.

Mr Reilly set a prize for the winner which always makes it a bit more fun and gets you more determined to win.

I had fun doing this quiz and it was fun to do and a break from schoolwork. We logged into a google meet, there was only 9 of us but it was still fun. Mr Reilly found a quiz on movies and we all did that one, it was very hard and everyone had to guess basically them all.

The top scores were all so close throughout the whole quiz, I had 0 points for the first half of the quiz then I got a few right and was on the top 3 within a few questions which shows how close the points were.

I was so happy when on the last 5 questions I got up to second place, then on the second last question I overtook Erica and came first.

The class I was in I really liked, we got to use clay and make clay pots,

I liked Ms Higgins as an art teacher, she was very helpful to the students who didn't do art class before and was able to help with everything.

It was very interesting learning about a completely different culture and learning a new language.

We got to try some Chinese snacks, learn the language and learn how to play a Chinese game. I liked getting to try new foods because we have nothing like them over here.

I wish that we could of gotten longer doing the Chinese module as it was another one of my favorites.

Short paragraph outlining your reasons for the rating: The album ‘Carry On Up The Charts’ was the first album my mum bought herself. She had been given an album when she was 7 for Christmas of ‘Mini Pop’ but when she was 17 she was able to buy an album herself and it was this one. I gave this album the rating 8/10 because I really liked most of the songs in the album. I already had heard most of the songs before but I also got to listen to new songs that I haven’t heard and I liked them. I didn’t give the album 10/10 because I wouldn’t buy it myself as I prefer artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran but I still really liked listening to the songs in this album.

He set up a quiz on questions about Ireland. Only a few people joined the quiz but I find that the quizzes that only have a few seem to be better.

The questions were guesses for most people including myself. Throughout the questions everyone was so close in points except from Rachel she was way ahead of everyone until she got disconnected and everyone else got to catch up and over take her.

I came in second place to Lana in this quiz, we got the same amount of questions correct she was just faster. I didn't mind not winning this quiz because I have already won before.

Before I started lessons I hated public speaking and getting up in front of a class and found that I would get nervous and awkward talking to people other than my close family and friends.

Since I started up my own business I have had to talk to a lot more people and I wanted to get more confident doing it.

I started my zoom lessons with Karen Murphy speech and drama. Karen was very helpful and easy to work with.

I did a zoom class for an hour every Monday. Karen helped me giving me advice on writing speeches and how to present it. I wrote two speeches for my exam and practiced them over a few classes.

After six classes with Karen she felt I was ready to do my exam. I did my grade 6 public speaking exam. I got my examiners name and a drop box sent to me to record my exam and sent it on to the Irish board to be examined. In my exam recording I had to present my two speeches and then also talk about my public speaking journey and when I have used it during my life.

My exam went well and I should be getting my results within the next few weeks. During summer I will do my Grade 7 exam and then go on to do my proficiency in public speaking.

This will really help me in my oral work in the leaving cert and college presentations. I have a Facebook and an Instagram page where I market my products and take orders. I bake all different baked goods and get orders for special occasions, special days and random wants for sweet treats.

I was baking for orders everyday of lockdown and the weekends I was sold out nearly every weekend from Christmas on. Now I have a few orders during the week and mostly birthday orders for weekends.

We joined a live zoom call with a host and other schools around Ireland.

We learnt about climate change and how to make changes to try and stop it. We learnt that Ireland is one of the highest countries for waste.

Schools and students were able to send messages with their opinions on the topics we talked about.

Brendan Tierney school of motoring came in to us to teach us loads of skills we will need to know to get our drivers license and skills we will need to know when we get our own cars.

He should us videos on how to change a tire, open the bonnet and how to correctly position the seatbelt, steering wheel and head rest.

Two women hosted a zoom call for schools all over Ireland, one of them was there to ask questions and give feedback from schools and the other woman taught us about fast fashion.

We were able to interact and send in questions and answers and to give our feedback and thoughts on topics we talked about.

A few of the girls in the year were taught how to play rummy and they set up tables and playing cards to teach the rest of the year how to play.

Paul is an event manager and runs Perform Ireland.

She went through everything and taught us the proper form when weightlifting. We got a pvc pipe to mimic weights, to make sure we get the right form and to practice.

We also learnt how to squat properly and then we went into a burpee competition.

He split up the boys and the girls and put people against each other. Each person that won their game went onto another round until there was only 3 boys left and 3 girls left.

I got into the girls three person final on Thursday. Thursday morning we had the final and I was up against Manon and Fawizyya.

Manon was winning 4-0-0 for long and then Fawizyya and I caught up. In the end I won the match 5-4-2. I won an early lunch for myself and three friends on Thursday.

This was mine and I did it on Red Bull being sued for false advertising for their slogan "Red Bull gives you wings".

We organised games to do for the last three classes on Tuesday the 18th.

We walked to SuperValu to get sweets for everyone and other equipment we needed to have a fun day.

After lunch we had everything ready to go and everyone went into the pitch and we started the games.

We did dizzy penalties first, where both the goalie and shooter both spun around ten times before stopping and taking the shot. The overall winner was Ruairi.

The second activity we did was an obstacle coarse race. We split into two teams and went to the starting line where there was a bit let of water and a cloth at each teams start.

You had to dunk the cloth into the bu let of water, run through the obstacle coarse, then squeeze out the cloth into an empty bucket.

There was a slip in slide before the end of the Race and that was really fun to add. It was the team who had the most water in the end bucket who won.

The last game we did was a water balloon fight. We had filled water balloons and put them into a big bin, mr Reilly called out two names and them people went and grabbed a balloon and tried to hit someone with it.

We decided to do a sketch, presentations for each subject and dances.

I was apart of the dances, we decided to do a dance from each decade starting at 1920s,1950s,1960s,1970s,1980s,1990s,2000s, 2010s.

We made about a 30 second dance for each decade and split the dancers up into groups for each dance. I was in 1920s, 1970s,2000s and 2010s.
