I also am somewhat inexperienced when it comes to racism so I have to be mindful of others' experiences and I try to put myself in POC shoes often. I have access to a wide network of contacts in a variety of fields dominated by white people. I've gotten easy loans/credit etc. When stopped by police, I've always been treated respectfully. I'm usually surrounded by people who look like me and have had similar experiences. I'm not regarded with suspicion by most of the population. Everyone speaks the language I speak.

I have had to be willing to make mistakes, learn, and grow when I learn that my race affected someone of another race.

For example, I didn't know that there was discrimination with people of color and being pulled over.
