         <description><![CDATA[<div>They were politically different because Mongol China was ran directly and while Mongol Russia was ran indirectly. An economic difference is that Mongol Russia was pillaged for valuables while Mongol China was taxed. A political similarity between Mongol China and Mongol Russia was their religious tolerance, while an economic similarity is the use of a banking system and paper money.</div>]]></description>

China's economy thrived with the taxation while Russia was mostly looted and stolen and the economy suffered. </div>]]></description>

They also had major differences, the Russians were ruled more indirectly by the Mongols as they ruled through old political figures, where as China was ruled directly by the Mongols in the government.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One political difference between Mongol China and Russia is that in China, the mongols ruled that region directly while in Russia, they relied on local officials to maintain order in the area. In the economic side of things,  the Mongols in Russia just stole the valuables of the people like brass, silver, and gold. However in China, the people benefited from the mongol rule because of their protection and monitoring of the silk road. Because of this protection, trade was encouraged in this region of the empire.</div>]]></description>
