An example of this is the movie called John Q. Directed by Nick Cassavetes, the film denounces the problems of public health services in the United States, in which the patient's capital is prioritized over its sanitary urgency. To summarize, the lack of humanity of a health system that is not only accessible exclusively to those who can afford it, but also questions in its ethical basis the importance of human life for strictly capitalist companies, mainly in the United States where you Attention is only carried out if you have the money to pay it.

The current pharmaceutical business model focuses more and more on rare diseases, where the low volume of prescriptions has to be countered with high unit prices to ensure the return of investment.

This causes these medicines to be very high prices. For example, Gilead's hepatitis C drug, costs $84,000 for 12-week treatment and the Vertex cystic fibrosis drug has an annual price of $311,000 for each patient.

In fact, the ten most expensive drugs are treatments for rare diseases, and although these are prescribed for a small number of patients, their high prices can generate income equivalent to those that produce the most successful traditional medicines .

The private health companies fix their own prices because there is no competition between companies, and the price will be only one and balanced.
Other advantatge that have private health companies is that they have a low demand for his elevate price, and that causes that only rich people can buy it, and rich people in the world we only have a 19,5% of the poblation so, if the medicament is bad or have any problem, only affect to a little part of the poblation and is more cheap to solucionate, if this one affect to the other 80% of poblation.

Sicko, a documentary made by Michael Moore, reflects in a more detailed way the disadvantages of the American health system. In the documentary we see real cases of people who, having no health insurance, are not served by the health system.
In addition, it gives us a shocking fact: In the United States 50 million people live without health insurance due to the price of it.

In our opinion, health is something that should be public in all states because it is a basic need for the well-being of the population.

All states should offer free emergency operations, treatments and hospitalization.

In the United States, for example, health is private. So basically if you do not have a good salary you risk dying of an illness. This is not ethical.

In conclusion, we believe that it is not ethical to pay for treatments or operations that are urgent, necessary to survive.
