I believe teachers get too caught up in the curriculum, that they forget to acknowledge the everyday issues that occur in the classroom. I learned a lot about the social issues, such as cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is one of the biggest issues in school districts today. Cyberbullying affects students' schoolwork, everyday life, and physical and mental health. After taking this class, I have developed an awareness of the daily issues that occur in the classroom. Before taking this class, I stuck with the simple google drive and docs tools, but now I know how to use tools like screencasts, flip grids, and padlet. The technology tools available for education are endless. I love the fact that teachers are starting to incorporate social media like twitter into their classrooms. I learned how helpful twitter can be for finding new lesson plans, communicating with students, and sharing ideas with other teachers.
