¨ You have displaced the mirth, broke the good meeting with most admired disorder¨ - (Act 3, Scene 4, Line 109).

Initial Reaction: As I was choosing between quotes, I came across this one, and it caught my attention. This line is said by Lady Macbeth in act 3 scene 4, where they are hosting the dinner party at their house. She says this to Macbeth, as he has just finished making a fool of himself in front of all the guests. I really liked this quote, because she tells Macbeth, oh you just made a fool out of yourself causing confusion and everyone to stare at you like you are crazy. I felt like she demonstrates her control with this line, as she explains to Macbeth, that what he was doing was shameful, and that he almost blew his cover. Overall, I chose this quote because I feel like it connects really well to the time we are living in now, and it totally demonstrates the power and control that her character has.

2. Using the quote in Conversations

Three Instances and their Reactions:
The first time that I used this quote in a sentence was during a conversation with my mom. We were in the car and saw a man crossing the middle of the street while cars were speeding through, and he was walking right through it, and I said the quote to her and she looked at me all confused. She had not idea what I was saying, and her reaction was priceless. Soon I explained to her what the quote meant, and that I was saying that what the man was doing was crazy, and everyone on the street was looking at him all confused and worried, just like the guests reaction towards Macbeth at the dinner. Real soon, after I explained what the quote meant, but if I had not explained to her what I was saying, she would not have gotten it all, and just continued to stare at me like there was something wrong with me.

The second time that I used the quote in a conversation was with my friend Anna. We were both hanging out and exploring through Instagram, where we came across this post that was from one of our favorite celebrities named Farah Dukhai. We are absolutely great fans of her and we constantly watch out for her posts all the time. As we were going through her feed we saw a tutorial that she had just posted about a new face mask, and we noticed in the video that she was just applying a bunch of product all over her face, and that´s when I used the quote. I used the quote in terms that Farah was making a fool out of her self looking like a mess on social media because of the face mask post that she had uploaded. In the video she looked really weird and we both agreed so I though it was a good moment to throw in the quote. Anna looked at me all confused, but after a moment and time for her to process what I said, she understood it without me having to explain to her. She thought that I was smart by throwing in that quote, and her initial reaction was not totally like my mom´s, because although she was confused at fist she still understood.

The third time that I threw this quote into a conversation, was during one with my cousin Zee. Zee and I were hanging out, and he was watching basketball, and I was sitting there confused because I know nothing about the sport. We kept on watching, and he we teaching me a few things about basketball and explaining to me what was going on here and there. The game got to half time, and I really wanted to use the quote because I knew that he has probably never read or heard about Macbeth, so I was planning out how to use it while we were watching the game. The game got to a point where Stephen Curry had the ball and was trying to make a 3 point shot. The sad part, was that he missed, and that shot could have lead his team to winning, and immediately Zee got off the couch and was yelling at the T.V, and I just threw in the quote. I was using the quote in terms that Stephen Curry made himself look like a fool because he did not make that shot, and it was very disappointing to all his fans. Zee´s reaction to the quote was nothing I have seen before. He stopped screaming and looked at me very confused. He stared at me, and asked me ¨ What did you say again? ¨ I repeated the quote to him, and he was so confused. It was very funny and I was laughing uncontrollably. Soon I explained the quote to him and what it meant, and then he understood the quote like a long time after that. His reaction though, was exactly what I expected, and later he told me that I was clever in using that quote with him.

1. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/13/arts/celebrities-twitter-instagram-cyberbullying-kardashian-swift.html
This article by the New York Times, highlights what celebrities today have been doing, that make themselves look like fools in the eyes of the public. In this article, Rob Kardashian, humiliates himself and his family because he tweeted out his sister´s phone number, Kylie Jenner. Rob did this because he was mad at his family for not inviting his fiance to her own baby shower. This incident is relevant to the quote, because Macbeth acting out in front of is guests made him look like a fool in front of them all, and here in today´s time, Rob Kardashian tweeting his sister´s phone number made him look embarrassing in front of the public, just like Macbeth.

2. http://time.com/4568526/donald-trump-obamacare/?xid=homepage
This article, developed by Time magazine, explains Donald Trump´s plans with the Affordable Care Act after he had been elected President. For a long time, throughout his whole campaign for president, viewers had seen and heard from Trump that he was most definitely going to repeal the Affordable Care Act, but as of November 9, 2016 after he had been elected president and met with Obama, he decided that he will keep parts of Obama Care. This relates to the quote because for a countless of times, Trump continued to say that he was going to repeal the act in order to make the country great, but when he decided to change up his plans, right when he assumed the presidency, that just shows him to be a fool or to make a mess of himself, because announcing one thing over the media, and then doing something other than that, makes everyone watching think of him as unprofessional or out of place.

3. http://time.com/4568788/donald-trump-protester-shot-portland/?xid=homepage
Another article from Time magazine, about Trump protesters has become viral. People have been protesting all over the country, and in Portland, Oregon a man was shot for protesting against President elect Donald Trump. Trump´s endless comments about immigrants, Muslims, and women have caused people to protest around the world. His foolish remarks on the media have caused this destruction around the world, and people have begun to protest against him because of the giant mess he has created because of what he has said all over the news. This is exactly like the quote, how Macbeth makes a mess out of himself at the dinner party in front of the guests, where today, Donald Trump has created a giant mess because of his remarks that discriminate towards people, making him a fool in front of everyone.

4. The Quotes Relation to: The Lizzy McGuire Movie

Summary: The Lizzy McGuire movie, is about a girl named Lizzy McGuire, who has just graduated high school, and is heading on a trip to Europe with her friends and fellow classmates. Once in Europe, Lizzy begins to travel around Europe exploring new sites and scenes, where one day she meets this boy named Paolo Vasilari. Paolo is a famous musician and singer in Europe, whom everyone is absolutely in love with. Paolo and Lizzy begin to hang out each day, and eventually, Paolo asked Lizzy to be his partner in a concert, and sing a duet with him because his former partner dropped out, and Lizzy and the other girl Isabella look identical. Through many rehearsals and getting ready for the performance, Lizzy came into contact with Isabella, and Isabella explained everything to Lizzy, how Paolo is a fake and he pretends he can sing in front of all of this fans, but he actually lip syncs, and blames Isabella for being a fake instead of him. Lizzy and Isabella team up to embarrass Paolo in front of everyone at the concert. The day of the concert came, and as Paolo and Lizzy were singing, Paolo´s microphone was not working, so the whole crowd heard his real voice, and began to shout ¨boo¨ and call him a fake.

Relation to the Quote: I thought that this movie connected closely to the quote because I felt that Paolo and Macbeth were similar in character, where they both were trying to hide such a shameful secret for a long time, and eventually their secret was revealed. For the quote, the connections I saw between the movie was that Paolo for an endless number of times was close to revealing hi secret that he can not sing, because of microphone issues, but Isabella was always there to help him, just like Lady Macbeth saves Macbeth from revealing his secret in front of the guests. Isabella had warned Paolo that he needs to be careful, just like Lady Macbeth, especially with this quote that she says, ¨ You have displaced the mirth, broke the good meeting with most admired disorder.¨ This movie also relates to the quote, because in the end, Paolo´s secret is blown, and he makes a giant fool out of himself on stage, shaming himself in front of the whole crowd.

6. Final Reaction To The Quote

Today many people may not recognize what this quote means because of the language that it was set in. Although, it is very relevant to the modern day, because as we have seen throughout the news and all over social media, many people have been hiding secrets, scandals, crimes, and many more. Today, this quote still carries its meaning that people are foolish, and do not realize the things that they are doing in front of people, because of their crazy actions, just like Macbeth in front of his guests at the dinner. The significance of this quote to anyone in general, is that many people now and then do not think before they do anything. Many false actions are made by thousands of people because they do not think before they speak or think about how they are supposed to act out in the public. This quote demonstrates this idea really well back in the day of Shakespeare, and today even though the language of the quote is different, the meaning is still alive. To Shakespeare, the significance of this quote, brought the scene alive in the play of Macbeth, because it portrayed the dominance that Lady Macbeth had over Macbeth, and it also demonstrates that people do not think before they act. For myself, the significance of the quote is that many people do not realize the things that they do in the moment, which causes them to embarrass themselves, whether it is a student, teacher, regular people, or even a celebrity icon, we all do not think about the things we do before we do them, and that´s what causes us to make fools out of our selves, and I really think that this quote brings that idea to life.
