The cardio vascular system and respiratory system are connected at the lungs. When we breathe in we are taking in oxygen and this oxygen is then diffused into our blood at the capillary beds in our lungs. In exchange for oxygen the blood drops off co2 and this gets expelled from our body as we breathe out. The oxygen is then delivered around the body as blood makes its way around.
