The Teacher Assessment in Primary Science (TAPS) project is based at Bath Spa University and funded by the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT). TAPS aims to develop support for a valid, reliable and manageable system of primary school science assessment which will have a positive impact on children’s learning.

This handbook introduces the Primary Science Capital Teaching Approach (PSCTA) – a teaching framework

that helps teachers to reflect on and develop new ways to promote children’s engagement and identification

with science.

Go Wild For Fish is our education programme for schools throughout the Tweed catchment. The programme offers a variety of different lessons and activities - all of which are matched to both the Scottish and English curriculums - aiming to enthuse young people with the river and the organisms living in it.

Ian Gregg River Academy

The Ian Gregg River Academy is an education facility in which you can learn all about the River Tweed and the organisms living in it.  Whether you are a school group, taking part in our citizen science programme, or just out for a wonder, come and work your way through interactive online material, observe the Tweed's different fish species in our fish tank and study freshwater invertebrates through our microscopes.
