“Animal Antics” by Whitney Stewart is a great book I used for my unit on animals, the book on each page covers and animal and asks students to act out pretending to be the animal. The students were so engaged with this book, and it had them thinking about what the animals do, not just what they look like. My students especially loved this book because they got to move around during the book rather than sit still.

https://www.amazon.com/Animal-Antics-Mindful-Whitney-Stewart/dp/1782859365/ref=sr_1_4?crid=18I4GY6IZ8IEC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.gP9V5uoOez0YHHiFGVJCz4NWQArgednptTd3P_dwdt7T1OXTQgkI5KfAvj8hyzKTVTbbTOf695BR8mOK07Cl-xPUGNQBhVmPFXxv9Dsh0nGKoE8QJH6i-_msKWwu3D9aJvZPsZ7bq9Vcf2F_-ZFNMEMg5lCTUb1qtvq2whCW3NHoUE-Xfz26scSxjmFsXa5jqD04wIHvOaBSAbBR9V4E6IJC4ztpithP-gc6WxbIULw.egWSd9aQzvuF8lNQLEblkYD_1AtHDHLaSeo0PeaZ_mo&dib_tag=se&keywords=animal+antics&qid=1718584858&s=books&sprefix=animal+antics+%2Cstripbooks%2C120&sr=1-4

The book teaches students that even though they look different, families like and do many of the same things.
