In maternity, it is used and very well received by patients. More likely to be open and honest.

Spoke how Telemedicine is good for poorer areas. It also still gives the human touch. It can be a first instance meeting or a follow up also before or after a face to face meeting.

Can be good for people in rural areas also. Good support when a person is in need.

-Potential to improve accessibility to CT/MRI services in remote hospitals with no radiographer staff

-Safety issues around radiation/MRI safety, screening patients, adverse event responses

-Accountability concerns for adverse events

-Wearable devices, mobile app, data is transmitted to healthcare provider

Benefits are Patient can have more control over their health, gives more accuracy and faster responses, real time feedback

Risks are; Overreliance on device or system, variation of data, patient usability and function, privacy and security concerns, malfunction of device, accessibility and affordability.
