A specific example of this was the teaching of how to use birch bark in "The Tree of Life." The knowledge keeper passed down the knowledge to her daughter who was then passing it down to her friend. Through this generational sharing, these people felt connected to their family and culture.

My key take away from this is that community is very important and learning from your knowledge keepers and coming together to be one with your community
