Hello! My name is Liliana Quesado and i am from Portugal. I´m a primary school teacher, but also a music teacher and i've joined de eTwinning world about 7 months. Why join this course? Because this is the way forward in education. An active learning, focused on the student, with sharing and collaboration, with new approaches, with various knowledge, with explorations of citizenship and interculturality. This is the way... and I want all the schools where i work, to know what etwinning work is and all the benefits it brings, for teachers and pupils. The world connected in the same goal... and that's the goal!

Hi everyone,

I'm an English teacher in Escola Básica Gil Vicente, Guimarães. My students are between 13 and 15 years old and I decided to join this project to learn more and to motivate my students to improve their communication skills. I'm a curious person and I want to learn and meet new cultures and ways of thinking and interacting. I am sociable, creative and curious.

Currently I am participating in an eTwinning project called “I Love Europe”. This is an ambitious project which joins 21 teachers and 277 students from different countries!
The project aims to raise awareness of European values and develop European identity. The students learn the fundamental and shared values of the European Union: respect for dignity and human rights, freedom, democracy, equality and respect for the law. The students investigate their national identity, they get to know the different nationalities present in Europe and develop their sense of belonging to the European community. They learn to appreciate the diversity that characterizes Europe respecting the cultural differences, that are an added value for the European community which is strengthened thanks to them. They make suggestions on how their country can help make Europe a better place to live, they think what each Member State can do to contribute to create a common European identity.

I started collaborating on etwinning projects this year with my eighth graders.

I believe that these projects are extremely important for students, as they allow them to broaden their horizons. In my case, living on a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, it will be more important for students to understand what it is like to be a European citizen and the opportunities they may have in the future.

I and my class were very proud. This year I'm in 2 projects, each one with a different class, and with the support of other teachers. It was recently created an eTwinning Junior Academy and at this right moment, our school is "breathing" eTwinning spirit. However, there are some teachers to reach out to.
My school is an eTwinning school and surely we want to keep it this way. I'm the eTwinning Mentor in my school and believe me it's a challenging role. But, I feel very satisfied because I've already succeeded in motivating and involving several colleagues in projects. I enrolled on this course because I always want to learn more and more. I have been working as an English teacher with teenage students in Florence for over 20 years. I learnt about Etwinning as I was working on Erasmus projects years ago but I had never taken part in Etwinning projects actively. Due to pandemics I couldn't continue the experience with Erasmus+ so I have decided to join some Etwinning projects thanks to a colleague of mine and now I have become a fan of it!! It's a great way to keep connected to teachers all over Europe and to involve my students in fantastic activities offering them a unique opportunity to use the language and have fun together with other European students. I hope my school will become an Etwinning school.

First and foremost I would like to apologize for starting the course at this time. Nonetheless, my laptop had a few issues, hence me now using the school´s pc to undergo the course.
Regarding my personal reasons for enrolling in this particular course I would like to state that I´ve been using several digital platforms since I started teaching English back in 2012.
By resorting to both cellphones and/or laptops/PCs, I feel students become more prone to being permeable to learning English since their subcounsciousness associates the aforementioned objects with pleasure, thus lowering their psychological resistance to learning as opposed to when they are presented with more traditional means.
I´ve been using some sites such as "Perfect English", British Council´s official site and Kahoot (amongst others).
I am eager to learn new strategies as to help me overcome some difficulties I still have.

Hello everyone. I am Amalia and I have taught in a primary school in the North of Italy since 2017. I love children, my job, learning and music.
