         <description><![CDATA[<div>The French had an effective source of strategy. The French joined allies with the Americans which made them stronger and increased the number of troops. Washington had his men build big army camps and huge brick bread ovens visible from New York to give the appearance of preparations for a stay. After a five-day bombardment, the American and French forces attacked Cornwallis's fortified position which lead to the surrender of the British.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

He left four artillery cannons behind and when the colonist came they surrounded General Cornwallis against a wall and he had no other option of escape than to surrender because the French navy surrounded him on the water. </div>]]></description>
