Roger Keith Ver sued OKEX Fintech company for breach of contract. OKEX and Roger entered a contract on December 15,2014, stating that the company would manage and operate Bitcoin.com on Ver's behalf through the domain name Okcoin.com. At the time, Roger owned and operated the domain Bitcoin.com. The contract dictated that both parties will work together for 5 years minimum and they would split revenues. Roger is seeking $10,000 for each of the remaining 57 months remaining in the contract, which totals to $570,000. Roger also claims the contract was forgery and included that the company could cancel the contract within 6 months, which Ver was not aware of. The court determined the contract was forgery when they discovered that Roger's digital signature was copied and pasted from one document to another.

The contract that Jose and Trump agreed on was a 10 year lease for the restaurant to be put under a new hotel building Trump had been building. The reason Andres pulled out of the contract is because he felt that he couldn't work with Trump after he made what Andres thought as racist remarks towards Mexicans. When the two went to court Trumps lawyers told the court that Andres should not have been surprised due to the fact that Trump is so open about his opinions and that Andres had previously praised Trump and his organization. The case stretched on four about two years after Andres counter sued for 8 million dollars. When the case settled the amount won by either party was not released and the two groups said they would move on as ¨friends¨

Three of Nike's former Designers hatched a pot before they left Nike to join Adidas and opened a design studio and with in the lawsuit the law suit can potentially can be 10 million dollars in damage to the Nike company and with this supplement Nike will be sewing in a breach of good faith and  of fair dealing violations with in uniform and trade secrets act . Nike's spokes person states that Nike as a company clearly and says that "Nike is an innovation company and we will continue to vigorously protect our intellectual property." Adidas covers the cost of the lawsuit for the three that were sued and says it is continuing to drive forward and elevate the Adidas brand .

So what happened here was Barcelona is suing Brazil superstar Neymar for a breach of contract over his transfer to Paris Saint Germain this summer. The Lawsuit resolves around €8.5 million loyalty bonus on his last Barcelona contract.
Neymar signed a contract extension with the Catalan giants in October last year before leaving Paris earlier this month in a €222 million deal.
In this lawsuit, the Club demands the player return the already paid sum for his contract renewal as he has not completed his contract renewal
The club added it is seeking to protect its interest after Neymar's departure so soon after signing a deal
Neymar took aim at Barca directors saying " I don't have anything to say to the Barcelona Board. For me. ... Well, actually i have something to say: That I am disappointed with them.
" I spent four years there and was very happy. I began happy, spent four years and left happy. But not with them. For me, they shouldn't be in charge of Barca. Barca deserve much better, and everyone knows this"
Barca appear to still be reeling after the forwards departure.
So he basically had a breach of contract because he just signed a new contract with a new team and the previous team he was on just had his contract renewed so they want their money back which was about 8.5 million euros

In 2008, the revelations Perfume and Cosmetics company sued the famous musician "Prince " and his music label, seeking $100,000 in damages for reneging on an agreement to help market their perfumes. This super star had promised to personally promote the company's new perfume named after his 2006 album "3121" and allow his name and likeness to be used  in the perfume's packaging but after that he refused to grant any interview and provide any his photos. 
In its breach of contract complaint, Revelations asked the court to award more than $3 million in lost profits, as well as punitive damages. but the interesting thing is the judge found no evidence and then the "prince" ask for $4 million dollars from this company. Finally,  revelations’ request for punitive and loss-of-profits damages was denied.

Starting in 2013, Subway has been sued on several occasions for failing to provide customers with a $5 dollar footlong. Individuals in every case are looking for a Class Action Lawsuit against Subway for these sandwiches which weren't delivered as advertised. The case supposedly begun as a post by an Australian man on Facebook. The post, replied to by Subway ended up with over 100,000 likes. Subway responded legally by implying that the 'SUBWAY FOOTLONG' was a registered trademark, and was implying the sandwich sold at the restaurants, and not the measurement itself. However, when individuals reviewed, they found out that 2008 Subway commercials with that trademark indicated measurements too contradicting the comments made by Subway. The information indicated in one study, that out of 7 footlongs purchased in New York City, 4 footlongs weren't actually 12 inches and were instead 11-11.5 inches. The case resulted in Subway and the 10 plaintiffs coming to a settlement. The settlement involved Subway promising for the next 4 years that the sandwiches would be 12 inches, guaranteeing that the bread would be at least 12 inches, if not longer. The end result? The judges issued $520,000 in lawyer fees, and the 10 plaintiffs would receive $500. The judge found no wrongdoing by Subway. The Class Action was intended to ensure that Subway provides 12 inch subs. Nike had made a 50 page civil complaint against Denis Dekovic, Marc Dolce and Mark Miner. They had accused the trio of breach of contract and other things as well. The breach that they had made was keeping nikes ideas in nike and not bringing them elsewhere, Adidas had hired the three men listed and what they did was they where giving ideas of new designs that they had learned from Nike and where going to give them to Adidas. Therefore once nike had found out there old employees where giving out the ideas they came up with they had issues. Nike went on to making a law suit and it ended up becoming a 10 million dollar lawsuit in damages. Arby`s broke contracts with various banks and credit unions that funded the company because they failed to keep their data from customer payments such as credit and debit card numbers secure. The breach was because of malware that was placed in the payment systems at over 3,000 stores by hackers so they could easily obtain customers payment information.

The hackers got a hold of over 350,000 customers credit card information and have accounted for millions of dollars in stolen funds. Arby`s had to pay out over 30 million dollars to its various customers, banks, and credit unions that were directly affected by the breach. It has also resulted in decreased sales and a loss of many loyal customers due to concerns of their financial safety.

Barcelona have announced that they intend to sue Neymar for breach of contract after his departure to Paris Saint- Germain.  The Catalan club are demanding 8.5 million euros in damages, plus the return of an undisclosed bonus paid to the player, having renewed his contract at the club last year, and a further 10% of that amount in interest. They have insisted that PSG take responsibility for payment in the event that the player cannot do so. In a statement, Barcelona insist that the player must repay the bonus he was given having signed his new contract because he unilaterally broke that deal by signing for PSG a few months later. That contract ran until 2021 and included a unilateral buyout clause of 222 million euros, which the French club paid in full. Univision is a broadcasting company which Donald Trump has long been associated with. In 2015, Univision cut ties with Trump and dropped the Miss Universe pageant following a series of remarks and comments that Trump made regarding Mexican immigrants as rapists.

Soon afterward, Trump filed a $500 Million lawsuit which claimed that the owner of Univision was suppressing Trumps first amendment right to freedom of speech. He also claimed that the owner, who was a big donor to the Clinton Organization was attempting to harm Trump's campaign in support of Hillary Clinton.

Details of the settlement have not been disclosed, but both parties have expressed their desire to move forward in their relationship.

The Red Bull Company was getting sued by people who claimed that when they were drinking red bull it did not "give them wings". I think what went wrong is that people had nothing better to do so some people decided to sue Red Bull to get their money back for however many drinks that they had bought. There were some cases that a person bought a 12 fl oz Red Bull for $10 and they sued the company for the one drink that they bought and got a check in the mail for $10. The outcome of the case is Red Bull caught this early and to avoid later altercations with people, so they set a 13 million dollar settlement that would save them from people suing them all the way back since 2002. The contracted was breached because Red Bull was advertising that the drink gave you wings all over the United States and other countries and it didn't give people who drank Red Bull any benefit from any mental or physical enhancements. A Red Bull spokesperson has said that the settlement was made to avoid a potentially costly and drawn-out lawsuit.

ESPN filed a lawsuit against Verizon Communications Inc. alleging the telecom company’s new FiOS TV packages breach a contract covering how the sports TV network is to be distributed.

ESPN, a division of The Walt Disney Company , filed a lawsuit in New York’s Supreme Court in which the network is seeking an injunction against Verizon’s new FIOS Custom TV service as well as damages.


“ESPN is at the forefront of embracing innovative ways to deliver high-quality content and value to consumers on multiple platforms, but that must be done in compliance with our agreements,” the network told Fortune. We simply ask that Verizon abide by the terms of our contracts.”

In mid 2003 the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), acquired 12 hospitals located in Kansas city Missouri. When the deal was made to buy the Hospitals, the HCA promised that within five years they would spend at least 450 million dollars to improve and innovate the Hospitals. All went wrong when the Health Care Foundation of Kansas City sued the HCA in 2009 on claims that the contract was not fulfilled. Desperate to cover their faults, the HCA appealed the suit and denied claims against them. In January, the case went back to court where the HCA faced a panel of three supreme court judges. The judges ruled that suit be reduced from 450 million to a payout just under 188 million. A statement by Wayne Powell confirms that the suit was resolved and that the city could finally continue on its pursuit to better the healthcare community, "We are pleased to have reached this mutual agreement that will allow us to close these proceedings and continue our work to eliminate barriers and promote quality health for the uninsured and undeserved". 

This was one of the most unlawful and worst breaches of contracts because the care and well being of Americans was at stake. These hospitals were supposed to innovate and better Kansas health and with the failed promise of money from the HCA, Kansas was not able to make these changes. In addition to that, the suit deals with payouts well over 180 million dollars which, is a lot for any company.

Megan Thode, daughter of Lehigh University professor, and student of the university, sues for 1.3 million dollars. Her reason for suing was for receiving a C+ in one of her classes. The professor who gave her the grade claimed she pays little attention, is disruptive, and swears in class. Thode was suing for sexual discrimination and breach of contract, because her grade would prevent her from becoming a licensed professional counselor. 

This lawsuit occurred in November, 2014, and was ruled by the judge as ridiculous, therefore she was turned away. 

In addition, the student was attending the school for free, due to her father being a professor, and had very little argument in that case.

When her case began to fall apart, she began to claim that it was "anti-gay" and "frivolous discrimination," and that those were the only reasons she received the grade. Not for merit. The professor then revealed that the C+ was a generous grade, and based on the rubric could have been a D.

There was no breach of contract or discrimination found in this case, and it was ruled ineligible.

Judge Judy, whom makes 47 million per year for her court show, is being sued by Rebel Entertainment Corps. for alleged "sudden and wrongful cessation of payment of profits to Rebel in connection with the television show Judge Judy". Rebel claims that the accountants at CBS have been fabricating their financial numbers to show they are operating the show in the negative in order to decrease the payout to Rebel Entertainment Corps. Rebel Entertainment Corps. is the company that is responsible for the fielding talent that eventually led to Judge Judy being chosen as the host of the show in 1997. Rebel was contractually obligated to receive a percentage of the profits made by the Judge Judy show, but they claim that the fabricated numbers by CBS cause them to receive nothing. The case is currently in dispute with a possible court date in 2018. This case could result in a settlement of millions of dollars to Rebel Entertainment Corps. A Portland-based hotel company was awarded $4 million for a lawsuit against the Port of Astoria, claiming the Port Commission rebuffed a contract that put the company in control of the Astoria Riverwalk Inn. The jury found the Commission failed to assign the remaining seven years of the inn’s lease to Param(the hotel company) after it voted to do so in 2015. 

This same jury found the Port guilty of making false accusations estimating that the hotel had to pay $3.8 million dollars in damages. However in reality there was only a fraction of that at $202,430.On top of that, after the manager of the Port called in a forensic accountant, he concluded that the Inn had around $4 million dollars in losses. Once brought upon this statement the defendant/ Manager of the Inn, Reese called in Kevin Ridgway a tourism consultant who determined that the losses were only around $190,000. 

All in all after everything was determined the Jury decided that the Port owes the Param Hotel company $4 million dollars in a breach of contract over the leasing of the hotel.

This hole case was based on the fact that Martha Stewart lied and breached her contract with Macy's. Martha Stewart signed a 10 year contract with Martha in 2006 and promised to sell her line of products exclusively to Macy's. In 2013, J.C. Penny released an "exclusive" line of Martha Stewart retail items. Macy's legal team looked into it and they found that Martha was selling the same things to both the companies and she was claiming them both to be exclusive. Martha also got J.C. Penny to buy a minority stake in her company for 38.5 million dollars. Macy's then decided to press charges on Martha Stewart for breaking their contract. The case still isn't decided yet due to the fact that J.C. Penny can't reach a deal with Macy's. The court left it up to the two companies to handle it themselves. The court also stated that Martha broke other parts of the contract. Martha sold the company for 353 million dollars to get rid of all her problems.
