How can we create an SOUND ART installation and transform our classroom using multiple types of ENERGY to make an underwater AQUARIUM ?

Our idea for transforming the classroom into an aquarium is to cover the windows with tape and gel to make the inside of the classroom dark .Then we will change the lights from regular lights to led lights to make the inside of the classroom the bottom of the ocean. Then we will add decorations to the classroom such as seagrass and some rocks. We will then add some sculptures made out of paper that look like sea animals; like different types of fish, whales, dolphins and sharks.

The oceans around the world are facing many problems such as pollution and rising sea levels. The oceans around the world are polluted by trash and chemicals. According to an article from National Geographic titled Marine Pollution written by the National Geographic society in 2019 ;Marine pollution is a growing problem in today’s world. There are two types of pollution: chemicals and trash. Pollution can affect the environmental and economic state of the world. Also stated in the text “Common types of marine debris include various plastic items like shopping bags and beverage bottles, along with cigarette butts, bottle caps, food wrappers, and fishing gear. In some parts of the world the oceans are rising causing some islands to sink underwater. According to an article we read in Global class titled Who is a Climate Refugee ? Also written by National Geographic society published in 2017 places like the Maldives are already sinking which will cause them to stop hosting tourists and people that live in them will lose their homes. Rising sea levels do not just affect the Maldives, it will affect other countries or cities surrounded by water such as the city of Venice in Italy. If sea levels continue rising they will create millions of refugees known as climate refugees.

In this image from EcoWatch you can see people picking stuff up and walking through water and ruined houses in the background. One can assume that these people are moving because their village was flooded and their houses were destroyed. One might also assume that it was flooded by a storm or by the sea levels.

This art and sound installation will make us reflect about this situation as it will make us think how the ocean should be and how beautiful the ocean is. This project shows us that the ocean is a place that must be protected because there are living things that live underwater. In this project we used blue led lights to make the color of the ocean blue but some of the oceans are changing colors from blue to a light green.

My perspective for what is happening in the Oceans is an outrage that will soon wipe out more than half the world. Some of our classmates had some opinions. Daniela said “My perspective on this issue is that they should change the organization of the government and do something against pollution in the world. Make a lot of campaigns and that these have the support of many people, countries and that finally they can collect most of the garbage on planet Earth ,and step by step get to the end of the road”.Another classmate Osvaldo said “We have to do something to stop these universal problems, before the ocean covers the whole earth with water that is not impossible. If the glaciers melt, it will be one more problem for humanity because if all the ice covering Antarctica , Greenland, and mountain glaciers around the world were to melt, sea level would rise about 70 meters (230 feet). The ocean would cover all the coastal cities. And land area would shrink significantly. Only cities that are above sea level will survive. This shows that the ocean should be protected not only because there are living things under the water but it will also affect life above the ocean.

How can we create a SOUND ART installation that transforms our classroom and makes us think of a CITY? What connections do you find between this art project and other classes?

We have thought that we can make a building creation based on boxes with a paper interior that reflects the interior of the buildings, adding some lights inside that reflect the energy. Also trying to make the exterior landscape reflect the city of NY. A loudspeaker that can help with the sound and be able to create an atmosphere of its own and related to a city. This project is relatively inspired by what the exterior is, what each of us can appreciate every time he leaves his house. We infer that this project connects us with the social science class taught by Professor Mr.Eric, who more than anything has shown us the way of life of many inhabitants, also showing us various regions, countries and cities in which the inhabitants reflect their Lifestyle. Also with the professor of natural sciences, given by Professor Mr. Sucre in which we quickly moved on to his subject through the subject of sound and electricity. We also go directly to the English class given by Ms. Aliza, which with her absence has been given by Ms. Suzana, in addition, without more or less to add, we also have among us, the matter of algebra matter given here by our Head teacher Ms. Jane, many will wonder Why? Well, we had to measure a lot, the height of the buildings, the length of the papers so that they fit where they should go and much more really.

Power consumption is the amount of energy or power used. A new analysis of 167 cities in 53 countries found that China's bustling metropolises are some of the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases. Handan, Shanghai, Suzhou, Dalian and Beijing were the main sources of these warming gases, reporting emissions about three times higher than New York City. Greenhouse gases pose serious environmental and health problems. They cause climate change by trapping heat, which in turn affects various species in already arid climates. Climate change caused by greenhouse gas emissions also contributes to extreme weather, wildfires, droughts, and food supply disruptions.

Currently in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in New York City, the energy revolution is more alive than ever thanks to the rise of renewable and alternative energy. Energy and the environment are more connected than ever, both because of their negative impacts and because of a more sustainable approach.

Adding that the consumption of electrical energy is the amount of energy used. The term refers to the set of electrical energy used for different uses, such as industrial manufacturing, the circulation of an electric vehicle or the use of electronic devices. Taking as help and support the following pages of the network. Greenhouse gas emissions in New York City are based on carbon dioxide (CO2), which accounts for the majority of the sector's greenhouse gas emissions, but lesser amounts of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O). These gases are released when fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are burned to generate electricity.

Extensive use of energy is being made throughout the world. The fact that with more electrical mechanisms, more factories, more buildings and more vehicles, the emission of gases is increasing and with it, this brings with it environmental and physical pollution. This contamination reaches our systems and all living beings that contribute to the community. This art and sound installation reflects, more than anything, a great authenticity of what energy consumption is in the city of NY, but without also ruling out the beautiful landscape that the city offers us.

Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth's climate system observed since the pre-industrial period between 1850 and 1900, due to human activities. Thermal expansion is caused by warming of the ocean (since water expands as it warms) and increased melting of land-based ice, such as glaciers and ice sheets. Sea level rise could erode and inundate coastal ecosystems and eliminate wetlands.

My perspective of what's happening in the ocean today: Global warming is causing sea levels to rise, threatening coastal population centers. I believe that if we work together we can stop global warming which causes global warming . According to NASA CLIMATE CHANGE The rising water level is mostly due to a combination of meltwater from glaciers and ice sheets and thermal expansion of seawater as it warms.

This art and sound will make me reflect on the real world just by knowing what might be in the ocean in the parts we didn't discover. For me it might be frightening or beautiful because whatever is under there can be dangerous or friendly.

Hope one day to discover what's under there. According to Oceana more than 80 percent of the ocean has not been discovered.reason why most of the ocean has not been discovered is because scientist and divers hasn't had the technology to discover that 80 percent.

How can we create an SOUND ART installation and transform our classroom using multiple types of ENERGY to make an underwater AQUARIUM ?

In order to transform the classroom into an artificial aquarium with sounds, we need to use energies such as: kinetic energy, sound energy, gravity energy, to create this aquarium we need to use lights, projectors and various materials.

Global warming is causing sea levels to rise, threatening coastal population centers. Many pesticides and nutrients used in agriculture end up in the coastal waters, resulting in oxygen depletion that kills marine plants and shellfish. Factories and industrial plants discharge sewage and other runoff into the oceans.

One of our project team members Jonnathan Pichazaca says that The ocean is a vast body of water that is made up of various species of animal plants, of which only 5% is known, the other 95% is unknown. Despite this, sources such as Retorna have confirmed “that every year 6.4 Millions of tons of waste end up in the sea. Between 60% and 80% are plastic, with peaks of up to 95% in some areas, according to the Italian environmental association Legambiente. The largest percentage of them are bags, but beverage containers, cans or cigarette filters account for almost half of the total. These are data from 2008 and it is considered that since then the problem has worsened” For example, sea turtles eat plastic bags by mistake, believing that they are jellyfish. Seabirds, whales, dolphins and other marine animals frequently turn up dead with stomachs full of plastic or trapped in abandoned plastic fishing nets. I think that with this project it will be possible to raise awareness about how beautiful and beautiful the sea is and everything that lives in it and all the damage that we cause to this ecosystem without giving importance to how serious and consistent it is.

It is assumed that there is a lot of pollution in the ocean and that ocean animals die from the pollution that we humans make. In recent years, this infamous area has been known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a marine whirlpool of debris where objects of everyday life are deposited by currents. At a certain moment the plastic disintegrates into tiny particles that are often eaten by fish and that could finally reach our food chain. There are thousands of animals that are missing an example in the North Pole polar bears are being killed by pollution and global change.
