This piece displays key landmarks from the location Nihn Bihn in Vietnam. The composition of the pagoda in the middle and the bubbles on its side help guide the viewer's eyes down the artwork. The variety of lines I used made different textures through the piece, as well as contrast between the different shapes and forms. Such as how the organic flow of the Ngo Dong River on the bottom is easily separated from the geometric form of the Bai Dinh Pagoda. The line work was accomplished using fine line ink pens and hatching, which helped create the illusion of depth and a variety of values throughout the piece.

Hoi An

This artwork displays key motifs of Hoi An. The viewer's eyes are drawn to the middle of the composition where the large lanterns, basket boat, and palm fronds are. Other aspects such as the silhouette background, the Thu Bon River with its lights, and the Vietnamese style clouds at the top provide foreground and background, keeping focus on the main motifs, while still being representative of Hoi An. The line art, created with fine line ink pens helps create contrast between larger shapes, using a variety of lines to make depth and different textures.
