We made a post card from Romeo to Juliet while he is in Mantua after being exilled and Juliet stayed back. Our theme is "true love is never easy but for the right one its worth it". Juliet and Romeo are facing hardships of being seperated from eachother but they have to work through the greif of being seperated which is not easy for them, but Romeo and Juliet are so inlove that they dont care and are willing to wait for one another. In romeo and Juliet Juliet says "O, find him! Give this ring to my true knight, And bid him come to take his last farewell." Juliet is devestated by the news and distressed over the fact that she was unable to give him a final farewell. Juliet still loved him despite what Romeo did that got him banished and she was willing to still be with him despite him going away now.

We created a party invitation to a ceremony to celebrate the two's love for each other. The theme we chose from Shakespeare was "true love is never easy, but for the right one, it's worth it." The ceremony, which honors them, shows that, in the end, despite both dying, their love was honored. They worked through so many things, like being exiled, their families being upset, and lots of drama, but in the end, they got to have each other which you could say is worth it. "My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite." (2,2,130) Juliet is expressing her love for Romeo talking about how her love for him is endless. With how she talks about how endless her love is we can only assume that to her it was worth it despite dying in the end as they had eachother.

This multi genre project contains different pieces of arts, music, and pictures showcasing Romeo and Juliets love story. Their story written by Shakespeare holds family, love, lust, enemies, and revenge. Each character apart of their story holds a huge part in their journey together, especially the major conflict between their families of the Montague’s and the Capulets. Our theme for this collection was that true love is never easy but for the right one it’s worth it. Shakespeare was able to reflect this message through a variety of figurative language including personifications, metaphors, imagery, and similes.

Romeo wins the award as the “Most complicated lover”, because of his irrational decisions, frequently putting him and Juliets relationship at risk. This connects to the theme “true love is never easy, but for the right one it’s worth it,” because his actions are always followed by a consequence. Romeos intense love for Juliet drove him to take a risk that may have caused him his life, but instead he found the love of his life and he was able to express his feelings to the girl he loved. Romeo understood the risk he was taking, “And the place of death, considering who thou art. If any of my kinsmen find thee here” (Romeo and Juliet 2.2). He was willing to take the risk so that he could see her and express his love to her, “And what love can do, that dares love attempt. Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me” (Romeo and Juliet 2.2). By taking the risk of going into Capulet territory to speak to Juliet, Romeo gets to confess his feeling to her and he is finally able to find the true love of his live which leads them both to be happy. To Romeo the risk was definitely worth taking as he got what he desired.

We did a wanted poster but the thing they wanted was acceptence. The theme we chose is "true love is never easy, but for the right one, its worth it". In Romeo and Juliet they faced a major conflict when they fell in love as Juliet is a Capulet and Romeo is a Montague which means their families hate one another. Throughout the book they desperatley hoped that their families would let them be together and accept one another. Thats why in the wanted poster its asking for acceptence. In act 2 scene 2 romeo says "What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet." Hes talking about how their names mean nothing towards their love. This can connect back to our theme because throughout the stories the main difficulty they faced was their family feud. They were in love and wanted to be together no matter what but it made it hard due to the lack of acceptance from their family.

We did a recepie as a way to represent our theme of "true love is never easy, but for the right one, its worth it". The recepie we made is the recepie for a suscefull relationship. I think this can connect to our theme because they both had unconditional love for eachother and were all in on their realatuonship ever since they laid eyes on eachother. In act 4 scene 1 Romeo says "And I will do it without fear or doubt, To live an unstained wife to my sweet love" This can reflect back to our theme because hes saying how much he loves her and how he wants a relaitionship with Juliet.

This was written as Juliet’s diary entry on her wedding day. This diary entry fits with the theme “true love is never easy, but for the right one it’s worth it,” because it revisits the time she found out about Romeo being a Montague. Juliet was fairly disappointed when she found out about Romeo’s status as a Montague,“Tis but thy name that is my enemy; Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. Belonging to a man. O, be some other name,” (Romeo and Juliet 2.2.38-42). She knew she began to develop real feelings for him which is why she was so upset about him being a Montague and her being a Capulet due to their ongoing family feud. Even though Juliet knew that would complicate things, which it did, she figured she probably shouldn’t see him anymore. Yet she agreed to marrying him anyway. There were certain obstacles they had to face in order to just be around each other while keeping it a secret from their families.

For this playlist for Romeo, I mostly added songs that were about trying to love whilst conflict was in the way. I did this because through out their story together there always seemed to be something in the way. Whether it was their family differences, arguments, or battles that Romeo was being left to fight. They went through a lot together which is why I added the songs I did about trying to fight to get what you want as well. When Romeo get's to Juliet's room she asks how he managed and he replied with, "With love's light wings did I o'erperch these walls, For stony limits cannot hold love out; And what love can do, that dares love attempt. Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me." (2.2.66-69). Romeo is saying that no matter the obstacles he has to face, he will continue to fight for their love and find his way back to her.

Romeo and Juliet were forbidden lovers due to their statuses as a Capulet and Montague. Their family has been in a big fued for years costing each other many things. The goal after they fell in love was to keep each other a secret whilst still being able to enjoy themselves together. This conversation they had relates on the topic of them trying to be a secret and also connects to the theme of, “true love isn’t easy, but for the right one it’s worth it.” This connects to our theme because in Act 1 Scene 5, Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time when they realize they can never be together, “My only love sprung from my only hate, Too early seen unknown, and known too late: That I must love a loathed enemy,” (1.5.137-140). Juliet is aware of what she could be getting herself into once she realized. In these texts they are still trying to find ways on how to maneuver together like they did in the play, despite their previous knowledge of each other.
