but she is also fearless. She is fearless because, since she began working during a time of segregation she, along with others, changed the rules and helped African Americans and whites to work as one, instead of using each other.

Johnson's passion was geometry, which was useful for calculating the trajectories of spacecraft. For NASA's 1961 Mercury mission, she knew that the trajectory would be a parabola, a type of symmetrical curve.

As the U.S. space agency, NASA would have to solve many, many problems. So NASA created large teams to solve them. Katherine studied how to use geometry for space travel.

For Mary Winston Jackson, a love of science and a commitment to improving the lives of the people around her were one and the same.

She wanted to be a scientist.

Mary Jackson was a mathematician and aerospace engineer. In 1951 she joined the West Computers at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, and in 1958 she became the first black female engineer at NASA

she was smart: she did meany great thing with the white women and she was considered a computer 
 personality: Mary had a great personality when she was working and also giving people a second chance just like how she got to work with the whits but did not get to go to the same toilet.

she had the talent. Mary had an amazing talent when it came to her job she always did the right thing and one day her boss gave her a better opportunity for her job.

Mary loved a lot of things and her family was one of them she always where there for her family and also always wanted to help them and other people too.
