On a computer, virtual reality is primarily experienced through two of the five senses: sight and sound.

Integrity of Virtual Reality
- All communication via the social features of your VR is stored
- Your data may be transferred to servers throughout the US and around the world at each company's discretion since they're all international companies. Once your data is "over there", it's subject to the laws of that land, and those laws may be far less stable or enforceable.

Spread of fake news
- example: Facebook VR firm, Oculus once written in the privacy policy “information automatically collected about you when you use our service” including “ information about your physical movements and dimensions when you use a VR headset” which may br used “ to send you promotional messages and content to otherwise market to you”.

Reliability of virtual reality
- Vr headset can’t work properly with all type of games
- example : Oculus Rift works great with all VR games except for Roblox games . If one choose to play, it will run with awful stuttering and very quickly crashes Roblox altogether.
- There is an issue of time delay or latency which is a serious concern as any delay – even a fraction of a second – can feel abnormal to the surgeon and interrupt the procedure.

Store a record of social communication made through the features of your VR

Here’re some key security measures you should implement when using VR;
1. Change default settings of the VR gadgets.
2. Set up separate email addresses and passwords for devices that operate in virtual environments.
3.

- [ ] VR systems allow users to virtually import photographs, music, brand names and otherwise IP protected material into their virtual experiences without obtaining necessary permissions from the owner of such intellectual property
- example : , in a renowned VR game called ‘Second Life’, players can visit a number of public places and use merchandise which could violate trademarks and copyrights of various brands existing in the real world.
- VR users log in from several countries whose IP laws may differ widely from one to another. The extent of potential intellectual property infringement is remarkable since VR creators can create a whole virtual world comprising of images, virtual property and other contents through the VR system.

An “emotional surveillance” system is allowing supervisors to scrutinize employees’ brainwaves for signs of distress, according to a report from the South China Morning Post (SCMP). The technology is the result of a government-backed project.

Here’s how it works. Lightweight sensors embedded in workers’ hats or helmets wirelessly transmit the wearer’s brainwave data to a computer — it probably works a bit like an electroencephalogram (EEG), as MIT Tech Review notes. Then, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms scan the data, looking for outliers that could indicate anxiety or rage.

Some organizations use the sensors during routine work, while others embed them in virtual reality (VR) headsets to monitor workers’ emotions during training exercises.
