Erected in the gothic style in the fifteenth century. Rebuilt many times. In the 17th century, its interior was rebuilt in the Baroque style and divided into two parts, and the tower was crowned with a Baroque cupola covered with copper sheet.

In the temple there are many antique sacred artworks, mainly baroque: altar, pulpit, unique baroque organs, grave plates of the Gryfit dynasty and Croy. The main altar and the pulpit of the Erdmuta foundation, the wife of Pomeranian prince Jan Fryderyk. Prince presented with his wife, Princess Erdmuta, kneeling at the cross in the main painting depicting the crucifixion of Christ. The organs and epitaphs of Anna de Croy and their own founded the stone bishop Ernest Bogusław de Croy. Baroque epitaphs have high sculptural skills and are one of the few surviving epitaphs of Pomeranian dukes' family members.
