The Red flag confirmation bias is a problem because we should be looking at all evidence not just the pieces that support what we already believe or want to believe. The object I chose was about women being worse drivers than men and that is simply not true. Your sex does not determine whether or not you are a good or bad driver. The facts in the article contradict themselves because it says that it is about half of accidents are male-female so both sexes are at fault not just women. It seems because the author is a male that they gave preferential to the fact that men are better drivers. It is simply not true and a bias because even the facts point out that there are more males in accidents. This was someones findings after looking at accidents over a year and the results could not be reproduced but should be examined in a different year. Their should be an impartial person to review the evidence of the accidents to see who is at fault to see if sex does determine wheter or not you are a bad driver.

Definition:
The red flag Confirmation Bias is when we use events that support our beliefs to back them up and events that do not support our beliefs are ignored.

Connection:
This website demonstrates the Confirmation Bias red flag because this study is using the fact that half of the accidents were men and women collisions and it cannot be proved that the women was at fault for the accident. There was also more men on men accidents than women on women which leads me to believe the author of the article has a confirmation bias towards women being worse drivers than men.
