Felipe gets taught a lesson by him being rude because Ranita was a frog, but at the end he is upset because she was really a Mayan princess. “ Eat from my plate? Sleep in my bed? KISS you? That is disgusting!” Felipe said. The next morning this happened,”Forget it, frog! I am NOT kissing you. Pepe, KISS...THE...FROG.”. And when Pepe kissed the frog, Ranita turned into a Mayan Princess. Felipe was upset because Pepe, his servant, kissed the Mayan princess, not him. Later in the story, an old lady asked Felipe to get her a cup of water from the well, and when he refused to, she turned him into a frog. So Felipe says I have a better idea he calls his servant Pepe in the room andtells  him to kiss the frog Pepe the servant kissed him on the cheek.
