It went from 3 feet to 6 foot deep. There was this little kid who was being taught swimming in the deep end. Apparently something went wrong and he started to drown. One adult that was sitting down next to the pool jumped in to the save the kid from drowning in the pool.

How does this relate to the theme?

Now remember no matter how experienced you are you should always stretch and do multiple things before you swim. Instead without stretching he went in the pool at first it was alright but then he had a leg cramp and couldn't swim and at the time he was in the deep end so about 9 feet. He was shouting for help and thankfully there was a Lifeguard around and he went in to save him.
