Nexton Elementary accomplished the creation of a 3D printed prosthetic pinky for the teacher's uncle. The tech used was 3D printing. This technology was transformative because it allowed the students to research the mechanics behind developing a prosthetic finger and the way that fingers work alongside 3D printing technology and software.

The teacher helped students to explore Spanish spoken by native speakers by listening to music, and books. She was able to use split screen feature to show side by side translation, as well as video speed to slow down the delivery, aiding in the students' understanding.

For example, they created a place where people can access food if they have food insecurity or are in need. These were the Blessing Boxes.

A Marrington elementary teacher went above and beyond what is expected of a teacher. She was able to help a student fix his broken glasses as well as changing them up a bit for a new look. Not only is it inconvenient for the student to have broken glasses, but it would distract him from being able to learn as well. Using a 3-D printer the teacher was able to take some measurements, allowing her to fix broken glasses and allowing the student to be able to focus and not worry and be distracted by them.

We thought that it was a good system that you take the food that you need and leave what you can. It's a great way to help people in the community.

I liked the Bot Beach Cleanup done by the school as it also allowed others to adopt the same program to use to teach their students how to code and use the small robot. Not only did they learn how to use the robot but they can also see how others have adapted and improved on their own robot designs.
